I had a similar experience in Asda a few months ago.
I'd bought a PS3 computer game, the box was sealed. Got home, unopened it and discovered a blank CD where the game disc should be.
Took it back. They replaced it no problem, it wasn't the first time it'd happened.
Some crafty bleeder had been buying the games, very finely cutting the seal at the base of the packaging, jiggling the game discs out and replacing them with a blank CD to give the box a genuine "disc rattle" ... then taking the discs back to Asda for a refund "bought the wrong game" etc etc. The staff then put the return back out on display.
They were really apologetic.Replies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -

I bought a game or DVD (can't remember which) from Tesco for a nephew one year only to be told when he opened it that it had no disk in. I hadn't realised and wasn't told that I was supposed to go to customer services to get the disk. Tesco gave me a disk without a fuss. I don't normally buy games/DVDs from shops (on-line girl me
) and I have so many people to buy for I don't check every present.

If he wants something there and then do you always give it to him? He sounds like a melodramatic little kid if he thinks not getting a DS is really 'the worst Christmas ever'...
Would you say you were a bit rude?
How can you judge a child or a childs behaviour when you dont know anything about them or the OP. Im guessing you dont have children or you would realise that for a child, opening a present then discovering the contents is not there must be very upsetting - nothing to do with being spoiled or being melodramatic, just to do with children, christmas and the excitement of it all.:smileyhea0 -

How do you do that? All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -

Would you say you were? I thought mine was a pertinent question! Surely a child would understand that they might have to wait a few more days for something. This is the problem with today's society, it's all about instant gratification...
Anyway, I was genuinely curious, you're just being difficult. How do you do that?
Lol I think it was a cross between 'unwrapped it' and 'opened it'. If not, I'd love to know how they achieved it too!**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

I have been reading the various comments. Yesterday after getting no where with ASDA I had to go out & purchase a replacement for my son from Argos so he can at least get some enjoyment out of the remainder of his Christmas holiday & start to get over the disappointment of what in his words is 'The worst Christmas ever'. I'm bothered about the money of course but I'm more angry about the fact that what would have been a great day and christmas for him has been ruined and that can't be replaced Christmas 2009 is virtually gone now and it's left a very sour taste in the mouth.0

QUOTE=carolinosourus;28209329 Would you say you were? Mmmmm, no! I thought mine was a pertinent question! Question? Was there a question? Must have been hidden somewhere amongst the childs psychological analysis. Surely a child would understand that they might have to wait a few more days for something. This is the problem with today's society, it's all about instant gratification... Whilst the child may understand, it doesnt mean the child wouldnt be upset and Im sure the OP must have felt awful enough without unhelpful comments like yours adding to it.
Anyway, I was genuinely curious, you're just being [STRIKE]difficult.[/STRIKE] honest [/QUOTE]:smileyhea0 -
This has happened to me before with a mobile phone, got the box paid at the till with rest of shopping and got home to discover no phone in the box.
Took it back and they checked and they has an extra handset in there "Secret back room" so got it replaced. I was informed that I should have been told at the checkout to take it to they entertainment desk to get the actual phone but was not.
They were very helpful in my opinion.0 -

So you don't think you're being rude? Surprising... There was a clear and obvious question, you must have missed it while you were looking for 'childs psychological analysis' which you somehow found despite there being none.
Anyway, how can you judge me or my behaviour when you don't know anything about me? You're doing what I have done (which you seem quite happy to criticise) which is reading what is in front of you on the screen and forming your own judgements. FAIL.
I made a judgement on society as a whole, and asked a simple question about the OP's son.**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D
