Yes, off con-artists, not Asda.

Somebody returned a DVD player about 7 years ago when I worked in Argos with a brick in the box. The manager was the one who refunded it without checking haha.
At Argos they check the jewellery before handing that out to you but not items like DS consoles. It's quite easy for staff in stores like Asda/Argos to take things out the box and place them back on the shelf.
So who ever the OP spoke to in ASDA is probably investigating this now and as others have mentioned, waiting for certain members of staff to be back on shift.0 -
If its true,sounds like a case of sticky fingered staff:A :shocked::shocked: :A0

I wish this was a troll situation then I could go to bed tonight and get a decent nights sleep0

At Asda you usually take the empty box to the cash desk and they put the item in the box for you.
Did the OP just pay for a box without taking it to the cash desk?Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

Well what normally happens in argos is you write down the item number then go to pay then wait at the pick up point and the member of staff opens up the box to show you whats inside/or that all the contents are there,0

in asda all the expensive items are behinf the entertainment desk and you take the slip or empty case (in our store its a dvd case with a ds picture in )up to the desk and they give you your item so im very sorry but i think the ops telling porkiesReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

I think maybe the staff might have given you the box from which the display DSi would have come from, Hence all the other bits being inside.DONT BUY IT, I DONT NEED IT0
