Have a look here, lots of interesting flavours :~)

The Amy Sedari vanilla ones are a great base and really easy to make, you could decorate them with lots of pink icing and sprinkles!

I just got a cupcake maker (i know, but i just cannot get them to cook properly) and it works!
Its my dads birthday this weekend and i wanted to do lots of different flavours etc... but how do i adapt basic sponges to add chocolate, fruit, flavourings etc...
The quantities i am using per batch is
    50g s.r flour
    50g sugar
    50g butter
    1 egg
    vanillia ex.

oh, and does anyone know the different types of posh stiff icing i could make. - and how to adapt them to include coffee, lemon etc...
    thank you soooo much!

For chococlate, substitute cocoa powder for some of the flour.

When I make cakes in the oven, I add fruits to the batter :)

When i make chocolate cupcakes I just swap a spoonful of flour for cocoa powder.
Coffee ones i just add a little coffee powder which i've mixed with a spoonful of water to the mixture. Lemon, i add some lemon flavouring. 50g mix is a very small batch...I normally make 6 oz mixes (i'm still in old money!)
To decorate, I use buttercream and pipe it on or spread on and add sprinkles etc.
    Good luck. xx

Hi I was wondering if anyone has any cupcake recipes, or do I just use muffin cases and put fairy cake mix in. A friend was going to buy them from a cakeshop, £2 each, for her party.

They seem quite big with swirled frosting or butter cream on the top
    Thanks
Starting to save £2 coins again, but it is a struggle:rotfl:Not doing very well keep spending them
  • This is the recipe I always use for vanilla ones, it makes 12 muffin-sized cupcakes.

    Happy baking :)

  • So I am making some cakes and cupcakes for an event and am going to have trouble transporting them (public transport only!) so I'm worried the cupcakes won't survive the journey unscathed. Because of this I'm aiming to go for cupcake style cakes that don't need icing e.g. banana cakes, crispy cakes and so on!

But I'm stuck so I'm wondering if anyone else has any ideas?
