Has anyone made a giant cupcake without using a special tin? I have suddenly been requested one for a birthday this weekend which is a little short notice but never mind. Any ideas how to make the shape using normal baking tins? Was thinking of using a bundt tin for the bottom which would sort of make the shape of the paper case but no idea how to make the dome for the top?Courage is the art of being the only one who knows you're scared to death.

You could bake the cake in the "normal" tin, or foil baking tin (you can reshape these yourself) draw the shape on a piece of paper, to use as a pattern, and then sculpt the cake to the shape of the pattern.
You can also make cakes in a well greased and floured Pyrex or ceramic pudding-type basin, if that was nearer the shape that you wanted.0 -
hi there
planning on making some pink girly cupcakes for my daughters 4th birthday next week and just wondered if anyone has a good receipe for these.
Ive had a look online and just keep finding fairy cake receipes, which I suppose thats what they are, but wanting something a little nicer
