When I started purchasing things for the business I decided a cupcake courier was a bit out of my price range, especially considering I'm baking for farmer's markets etc - I'd need at least 3! So instead I opted for http://www.ryman.co.uk/0161207220/Really-Useful-Box-20-Litre/Product combined with boxes from http://www.cater4you.co.uk/acatalog/plastic-cake-containers.html for stability. Works out a lot cheaper & the container has enough height to cope with even my tallest cupcakes.

The fruit of todays labours below; raspberry jam cupcakes! (Very hard not to eat them, must remember they're for selling!)

That looks Ideal, plus if I only want to take a few to wok I could get the cupcake carrier.

Your cakes look amazing as well.

Do you use cupcake cases or Muffin cases?

I have a muffin tray I got from Tesco I think, its heavy based and I use Muffin cases from Asda. These seem to be more sturdy than others I have tried.

when I make the cakes the recipes always say fill half way, you will get 12 cakes, I find this is a LIE, unless it is meaning a different cupcake case.

My question to all you bakers is -

What cases do you use and what are the measurements?
How far do you fill the cases up with mixture?
Do they rise to the top?

    Thanks Ladies

I was lucky enough to be invited to Liz Earle's 15th anniversay of Cleanse and Polish (it the skincare range I use), and Im great friends with someone who works for Liz Earle and she loves cupcakes so I made these for her. I went to the event at the Sloanne Square store last night and it was fabulous.
