Hi
Can anyone help me, I want to buy wedge shaped take away cake boxes but I can only find wedding cake boxes and they are a little to, weddingy!!
Do you mean like this?

They have pink spotty ones too.
This company has them in lots of different plain colours:

Or there is a template here if you fancy having a go at making your own:

I use my cupcake courier to transport my cupcakes now, I did use a company for cupcake boxes but I was not keen on the designs. Where do you get your boxes from?Saving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0

:j so pleased to have found this thread....cake decorating is my passion!
I baked & decorated my first ever cake for my little boys birthday last Feb & there's been no stopping me since.
Demand for cakes has been quite high from friends/family/colleagues so I have had to register with HMRC & get my kitchen inspected as I was worried about getting into trouble:eek: I've also set up a website and am starting to get orders coming through this as well now.
I only had one cake this last week which was a last minute order for a two tier zebra print cake, funny though because I had exactly the same last minute request the week before!
Next week is my sons 2nd birthday so I shall be making two cake so he can have one at nursery & one at home & I have a 3rd birthday cake to do for a friend of my daughters so a very busy week coming up.
I love looking at the pictures you all post, the cakes are just fantastic:T0 -
Hi everyone!
I stumbled across this forum at the start of the week and I've slowly been working my way through it and I have to say, you have all insprired me so much to invest more time and money in to baking!
I've always loved baking but I've got in to it more recently. I made some chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting and various decorative toppings a few weeks ago and I took them in to work - they went down a storm and someone even offered to pay me, which made me think that perhaps there's scope that my hobby could make me some money down the line! It's really given me a boost and seeing all of your beautiful cakes has brightened my day so thank you all!0 -

it looks fantastic, id like to try that, do you put anything in the bottom of the flowerpot to support the cakes? Karen x***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 -

I used a oasis from the florist and a cocktail stick for each cupcake. Have ordered polystyrene balls to try as it would work out cheaper.
Trying to think of something nice but cheap to weight the flower pot because i used plastic pots. maybe some coloured shredded paper compacted under the ball would work - need to try it out!0 -

Its looks fabtastic, how much are you charging as I was going to do the same for mothers day and have no idea what the going rate is as iv only sold single cakes so far x0 -
they are great code-a-holic................ seen them the other day on a you tube video, and the lady used the polystyrene balls, but she was using terracotta...... she used 2 cocktail sticks to secure each cake.
Yours are so much nicer. I might do one for my mum, its a bit different.
