    Hi everyone

I'm an avid lurker of this section of the forums and big idea stealer... I tried, nappy cakes, homemade birthday cakes, crafting for Christmas, crafting for Halloween, Christmas Hampers, Sock Monkeys , Snowman Soup, Pots of Gold... you name it I've had a go :)

Hence why I'm a reader but no so much of a poster... well I have great news.... I think I've almost done all my Christmas shopping!!! :j:j

I have literally run out of ideas for things to buy my DS (thanks Argos 3 for 2 promo!!), I have left a small list of ideas for friends and family to buy him

I bought all my gift sets from Next / Boots in the January Sales. I have scoured the internet for the cheapest place to get my mum's presents, have ideas for most of OH's family (he just needs to dig deep now), am going to buy a personalised calendar(s) from DS to various family members, just waiting for the Santa Outfits to go on sale and I'll get a pic of him in one then will have all the pictures ready.

I just have the following left to do...
    • Buy Brown Paper for wrapping Christmas Presents
    • Buy Raffia (I think that's what it's called)
    • Go Pine Cone picking to decorate Christmas Presents
    • Dry out sliced Orange to decorate Christmas Presents
    • Cross Stitch Gift Tags x 7
    • Snowman Soup x 40
    • Pot of Gold x 20
    • Secret Santa Present (not been drawn yet!)
    • Buy Mum's Perfume (dutyfreeperfume.co.uk)
    • Buy Mum's Slippers (???)
    • Buy Mum's PJ's (M&S)
    • Buy Dad's Binoculars (???)
    • Buy Hat / Scarf / Glove set for Step Mum (Moonson ???- friend works there so hefty discount off :))
    • Nan - I have NO idea - she is just like the nan off Catherine Tate, she doesn't want anything and already has everything
    • Grandad - I'm thinking of a nice jumper ???
    • OH's Sister and BIL - They like walking, have recently bought a blu ray player and OH Sister has just started a diet (She doesn't need it though IMO - she's fab!!)
    • Finish off and Order Calanders from DS x7
    • Buy Wii game for Childminders daugther from DS (Play.com)
    • Presents to buy from DS where Calander is not suitable x 13

Actually wrote down like that - my list looks huge - best get a move on.... only 84 sleeps till Christmas :j

I'm so chuffed with myself this year, I have never been so organised with buying my christmas presents so early.

    Today I'm now gutted
Last week I purchased a fabulous Hello Kitty watch necklace from a company in China via EBAY. Couldn't believe how gorgeous it was, including shipment, all for the grand price of £3!!! So pleased that I ordered a watch from them, and planned on buying a few more watch necklaces for DD's friends.
Today, EBAY have cancelled my order, claiming that the company hasn't been verified and for security purposes they have cancelled all orders from them.
I'm gutted ...... just my luck!!

I have used this site a couple of times - recommended on here - http://www.focalprice.com/

does all the cheapie watches etc. Free shipping and arrives within a week/10 days. First order held up as they message you on your focal price account to verify address and I hadnt realised but other than that couldnt fault them for cheapie stocking fillers.

If you do order please make sure you check your account as this holds up order.

I'm really behind on my Christmas pressies this year (btw, 81 days to go!) and am hoping the money will hold up! Have DS's of 13 & 15 with DD of 2 3/4. DS2 had a super long list of book requirements but having spoken to our local library, most of them I can reserve for him. Difficult age, teenagers. DS1 has a birthday this weekend (15th) and most of the PC stuff I have ordered him I dont have a clue what it is! Guess they're getting to the money and novelties stage.

DD will love anything she's bought and I have a few bits already for her.

Will be popping in on this thread from time to time to pick up hints and tips from you lot.
    Happy Shopping

  • Hi all,

My brain obviously hasnt shifted into gear yet as its just taken me ages to find this thread and it was on the first blummin page, Im going to subscribe now so that I dont lose it again!

Anyhoo am slowly but surely getting organised. After much deliberation I have decided to get the nieces and nephews money boxes with a budget of £5 each. The 11yr old niece has a diva shoe type one from Wilko's that was £4.99. Other nieces who are 4 and 7 have paint your own piggy banks from ebay at £2.75 each, yay! Am stuck with the nephews though, I wanted to get them Thomas or Cars or something along those lines but nothing suitable on ebay so not sure where else to look!

Also struggling to get a decent priced Iggle Piggle and/or Upsy Daisy for baby niece, they had an offer on at argos, both of those for £9.99 but theyre not in stock anywhere grr.

As for everyone else well have bought the boxes for the sweets, have ordered dvd's/cinema tickets to go with said sweet boxes. Mums gardening hamper is coming along lovely, got a v.cute welly boots keyring yesterday lol.

Erm....oh yes dd, doing really well with her, in fact I would say she is nearly done and have still got £20 budget left for her, go me! Might do an xmas eve hamper with that!

Hows everyone else doing? Im a waffler today!

I got mine off ebay. Decide which cinema (e.g. cineworld) and type in 'cineworld gift voucher' or something along those lines and any on sale should come up. I got a £20 voucher for £17.50 inc postage so not a massive saving but as tesco say....
