hi all! im new on this board but love crafting so feeling very at home!
Just wondering if anyone can help me on timescales for xmas goodies.
IE - when shud i make xmas chutney, xmas cake, xmas pud, gingerbread men all for my baskets. is it too early?
Thing is, i go on my honeymoon in november and wont be back until 3rd december so want to get a few bits done before the wedding.
any assistance muchly appreciated! xx
I made my first batch of christmas chutney a month ago. It was my first attempt so wanted to have time to taste it to check it was okay, tried it last night and its gorgeous! Takes 1 month to settle. I'm going to be doing another big batch in the next week or so.
Christmas cake will be being started soon too. I need it really boozy so need time to feed it etc.
Not sure about xmas pud. Would guess gingerbread men would have to wait until nearer the time
Welcome to the thread!
I am soooo pleased with how things are progressing here. Spare room is simply heaving with presents! I've just ordered a few things from teco clothes as they have 20% off clothes plus bits in the sale. Got belted jeans for hubby (£7.50, cardi for mum £5, jumper for huby £6, scarf for MIL £3.75 (all before 20% discount) plus a few bits for me and the kids)
Picked up some Disney DVDs bogof yesterday for DS. ALL his presents are done now, christmas and birthday! YIPPEE :j:j
Got a voucher left to get for mum then she is done too.
MIL =done apart from a gift in a jar
DH- main present left to order but just waiting for catalogue cashback to mount up a wee while longer so I wont have to pay much for it
DS stocking all sorted
Sisters and brother all bought for except 1 storage box or sisters hamper
Need to get snowman soup made up but think its probably still too early.
Not long to go!!!:rudolf::xmassmile:snow_grin

I'm so chuffed with myself this year, I have never been so organised with buying my christmas presents so early.
Today I'm now gutted
Last week I purchased a fabulous Hello Kitty watch necklace from a company in China via EBAY. Couldn't believe how gorgeous it was, including shipment, all for the grand price of £3!!! So pleased that I ordered a watch from them, and planned on buying a few more watch necklaces for DD's friends.
Today, EBAY have cancelled my order, claiming that the company hasn't been verified and for security purposes they have cancelled all orders from them.
I'm gutted ...... just my luck!!A creative mess is better than tidy idleness0 -
