I know how you feel! I really want a Home Bargains or B&M or any of the other cheap stores to open up down here too! When I lived in Sheffield there were loads but there's nothing like that where I am now (except Poundland which opened not too long ago - thankfully!).

Right, I've finally made my spreadsheet now and it looks like this!

DD1 (8 years old) - After doing the spreadsheet I've realised I've hardly got her anything yet & she's usually the easiest to buy for! :o

    Karaoke CD
    Disney Christmas CD

    DS (Nearly 7 years old)

    Star Wars Trooper Fleece Blanket
    Star Wars Hooded Ponch Towel
Star Wars Clone Wars Projector Torch
    Planet 51 Xbox 360 Game
Ben 10 Alien Force Action Cruiser Car
    Plain Blue PJ's
    Spiderman PJ's
    Toy Story 3 Sticker Book
Toy Story 3 Xbox 360 Game

    DD2 (2 years old)

    Nok Tok Talking Plush Doll
    Vtech Alphabet Apple
    Plain Pink PJ's
    Pink Cutlery Set
    Playskool Potato Head Spud Buds

    Step-son (Nearly 12 years old)

Call Of Duty Black Ops Xbox 360 Game
    Halo Reach Xbox 360 Game
    2pk Bart Simpson Socks

    Step-daughter (Nearly 14 years old)

    Black Studded Red Herring Leggings
Forever Friends 14" Microwavable Teddy Bear
Charlie Red Gift Set - With Free Pencil Case, Pens, Pencils & Earphones
    Roxy Edt 15ml Spray
Pink & Black Tartan Print Ballet Pump Shoes
    Me To You Slipper Socks

I've concentrated on getting DS, Step-son & Step-daughter's presents first, as they all have their birthday's in October, November & December!!! So I'll have to split the prezzies up which means I need to buy more to choose from! It's just deciding what to give as birthday presents and which to keep for Christmas.

Anyway, so how am I doing? I feel like I'm still way behind! That's just the kids though, I've got to make another spreadsheet for everyone else and then I'll post that up too :)
  • Looks like everyone is doing well!

For anyone buying wine as a gift this year, Tesco has 25% off all wines when you buy by the case the only hitch is you need to order a minimum of 12 bottles however prices start at around £2.13 per bottle for white, £2.13 for rose and £2.48 for red so it works out around £30-35 for 12 bottles including delivery which I didn't think was too bad.

Was looking for a little bag to put the earrings I bought my cousin in (99p all in on eBay- bargain!) but a lot of the ones I found were in lots of 20 or more so I decided to make one instead- I had some scraps and ribbon so fashioned a little velvet drawstring bag with a dangley bead trim which cost me nothing so I'm extra pleased with myself :)

Decided to flog some stuff to try and get some extra cash together, though I forgot how tedious eBay is at times. A few watchers so far so fingers crossed there will be bidders!

Does anyone know where you can buy Christmas cookie cutters that don't costs the earth?

I don't know on ages but my initial thought is 'craft'. You could buy a pack of felt pens/ pencils each (£1ish in wilkinsons). then get a couple of big packs of card/ sugar paper/ tissue paper etc and split it up.

print off some christmas colouring pictures.

Depending on their ages, you could get them a voucher for the cinema or local childrens play area. You could possibly put it in a Christmas cracker or put it in a little bag with some funsize bars of chocolates or gold coins. That is what I done for some of my nieces and nephews for the past two years and they were delighted!

there were little craft boxes in home & bargains for £4 although im sure you could make one cheaper, maybe get a pencil case and put crayons and things in and buy some colouring books for the younger ones and do a school type one for older one? asda are selling off the school things cheap, pencil cases, pencils and pens ect.

Not sure what age they are but I recommend checking out this site http://www.booksdirectbargains.co.uk/?gclid=CLOQhs3TqaQCFYZo4wod3SFC6A. The children's books are amazing value, and you get a free gift and free p+p if you spend £5. Code is on Grabbit. I've done two orderd from there now.

Also the 99p shop has some really good value little craft sets and colouring sets if your nieces and nephews are littlies.
