I've got a couple more things sorted :j
1x set of juggling balls (my DS is desperate for some!!!) from Poundland!!!
Playmobil police station, police car and police motorbike from ELC using £20 discount code. Managed to save £22!
I've now got one thing left to get for DS (Peter Pan outfit) and stocking fillers. Oh and a couple of DVD's when they're released in November.
I'm just about to do a body shop order too for my hampers.0 -
Been snaffling boxes from work for my hampers, got a few now, the only difficult part is wrapping them in paper neatly enough! Been stashing all my presents in the spare room, really need to start wrapping them up now.
Sat down and did my budget and I reckon I can get presents for everyone besides my OH for less than £100 altogether. If I include presents for ourselves and food and drink for the season, I reckon £250 should be enough for the whole of Christmas. How much do you reckon you'll spend altogether on Christmas 2010?
In the true spirit of home-made gifts I'm even growing the catnip to use in my cat toys which I'll make at some point. I figure I can grow it all year round instead of just buying a bag and it running out eventually.
Tesco is selling their own brand cava, including a nice rose cava, for the special price of £3.36 a bottle which I think is pretty reasonable. I've tried ASDA's own brand cava and it made me feel rotten the next day so I wouldn't recommend it. Tesco are also doing chocolates for a fiver a tin still if anyone's interested.Overdraft- [strike]£500[/strike] PAID! Computer Loan- [strike]£292.67[/strike] PAID! Credit Card- £369.00 PCDL Loan- £6664.800 -
Thanks for the tip on tescos cava - I really like their cava (and not only on special occasions!)Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas."

All the gifts are bought, and the total is £105. Some things have to be posted internationally though, which will add another £30 or so to the total along with stamps for the Christmas cards.
Food will probably be another £30 or so, and we already have a nice bottle of wine for Christmas lunch. We still need a tree and some decorations, so if I set a budget of £35 for that then Christmas will cost us £200! :money:Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
Three gifts left to buy0 -
Hi everyone, I'm checking in again and hope you are all in the festive spirit!! I actually started panicking when the shops started to stock Christmas bits and bobs, I feel it's crept up on me too fast... even though I have been buying bits since January!! I'm sure I'm not alone..
I managed to get some items in the Boots clearance, 3 olive tree gift sets, a tag book for DD, and some festival lashes (for me for Christmas cheer) I also bought a few other bits came to £10.00 and have sold a few bits which has covered the cost. Im so pleased.
Had to buy DD a coat for our holiday coming up, a pair of jeans and a cardy from Next, came to £50! Almost fainted at the till, only went in to look at the sale which was rubbish.
Off to ebay to make back the money me thinks, and once I finish sifting through the hundreds of boxes in my bedroom (full of Christmas gifts) I will be sorting out the hamper presents and any bits left to buy.
How is everyone else getting on, hope your all organised and panicking too :rotfl:Comping wishlist for 2017
1. Family holiday 2. Christmas presents :rudolf: 3. Fishing stuffThe more you put into life, the more you get out0 -
I thought I was being organised this year for the first time ever, but now I feel like I'm way behind! Eeeek! Now that the shops have started stocking Christmas gifts, I feel like I'm running out of time, but fingers crossed if I carry on at a stready pace, I should be ready in time this year. I just want to be able to relax and enjoy the Christmas holidays for once instead of last minute shopping and staying up til 3am on Christmas eve wrapping presents! I will post a list later of all that I have so far and all you professionals can tell be if I'm way behind or not!0

Had a nice little shop this afternoon. Went to Country Baskets, a cash and carry not too far from me. Ive never been before and only found out about it a couple of weeks ago. Its full of all sorts, ribbon, florist items, cellophane, party supplies, christmas ornaments, gift bags etc
I was just going to get some stuff for my new business venture (needed curling ribbon) but ended up buying a couple of xmas pressies too! My OH loves the Meerkat 'simples' adverts and he said how he really wanted the figure when it was being released in harrods, however they were never released in the end and donated to charity instead, bu8t my friend spotted a Meerkat teddy in a smoking jacket (ie just like him although not official!) and I spotted a meerkat A4 pad! I also spotted a mug but didnt pick that up this time. So I have now decided he is getting a Meerkat hamper as one of his gifts hahaha Unluckily I gave him a Meerkat pen a couple of months ago after I went away for a few days and spotted it in a shop. So now Im on the lookout for a few more Meerkat themed items hahaha0 -
