Red onion chutney sounds lovely will give that a go next week too I'm making jam for first time ever too. Found everything I Need to know about snowman soup even the cone shaped bags and ribbon and little poem for tags.
You know the nicest recipe I've found that's both a doddle to make and tastes delicious is from the JD Wetherspoons magazine, which they helpfully put online as well-

I bought the presents for 2 of my nephews and my niece today from Primark- x2 T-shirts reduced to £1 each, a cute long sleeve top for my nephew which was £2.50 and some fleecy PJ's for my niece which were £3.
ALDI are selling bags of toffees and chocolate !clairs for 35p so if you're after something extra to put in a hamper or stocking that doesn't cost the earth then how about some of these? I've re-packaged them in cellophane with ribbons but they could just as easily be scattered loose. They are also selling mint humbugs and liquorice allsorts for 49p a bag.
I'm a softy when it comes to cats so I'm making some mini kitty hampers with tins of sardines, tuna, treats and some home-made toys too.
I was going to buy my vegan friend a cupcake recipe book as she loves them but since becoming vegan has struggled to find recipes that are suitable. The book was £10 in Waterstones and £7 from Amazon and my budget is £5... so I decided instead to make my own vegan cupcake recipe book, as there are loads of recipes online, and instead buy her a bun tin, some paper cases and vegan decorations so I can stay within budget plus this way the gift is more personal tooOverdraft- [strike]£500[/strike] PAID! I love it - I may just do this for my mums two elderly cats with a few tins of fishes, treats, maybe a little bottle of cat milk and some cat nip.
Also Bruno (our JRT) gets his own stocking, mother in laws dog gets a present (squeaky toy) as shes not a treat liking pooch, and my sister in law now has two new additions as well as her two guinea pigs she now has a terrier named Roxy and a JUG (Jack Russell/ Pug cross breed) called Henry!Time to find me again0 -

"Vegan Cupcakes take over the world" is one of my fave books - think that was the one you were looking at. The recipes are great. If you dm me I'm sure I could send you some recipe details. I've also got a great brownie recipe. For a cheap recipe book "the cake scoffer" is great - little and full of great cake recipes and only £1.25. I need to order a new one as my last one got covered in cake mix.
Craving cake now - haven't made any for ages0 -
mrs ryan - thanks, looking for a wales one but they didnt have much on that site not bothered about it being the official one as my budget is only £25 for his main present and i have seen one on amazon which is within my budget. its difficult with my mum and dad as their birthdays are 3 days apart in december and then its x-mas within 2 weeks.0
