  • Thanks for the ideas, thing is theyre not really crafty kids. And my sisters are the type that buy them quite expensive things so anything I ever get always feels a bit 'chavvy'. I was thinking about diaries for the girls (7 - 11 yrs)? And cars or something along those lines for the boys (2, nearly 3 - 5yrs)

    Hey Christmas peeplies.
I have family that live away from me so I sometimes just get vouchers, trouble is that's minimum £10 a time, I wonder if I could get some presents which would be less than that including postage? Am at a loss really all your tips are very interesting

Not sure to be honest other than vouchers but I have been getting my vouchers off ebay for just a bit cheaper than what theyre worth, have you tried that to save a few pennies?

    Hi all

Now heres the bit I need some help on! Apart from needing some ideas on what to put in the gardening hamper for my mum I also need to pick your brains on something else......i have 11 nieces and nephews to buy for and Im on a budget this year, as with every other year! Last year they all had an outfit each, year before some books each, year before, erm cant remember. Anyway you get the jist, they all get the same sort of thing each year because its just easier that way, Im stuck on a theme this year, dont want to do PJ's cos nan's get those for them and I dont want to get sweets soo.......?? Am limited to about £5 each. Help!

Gosh this is a waffly post isnt it!!

Just an idea but if there are a few in each family why not buy a family game or dvd for them to share? You could always then give a tin of sweets with the board game or make a movie night hamper??? Just an idea but might save you some money, and the hassle of having to think of 11 seperate gifts???

How about cinema vouchers or magazine subscriptions paid for with Tesco vouchers? Or magazine subs can be quite cheap when bought online anyway.

Play.com and dealextreme.com have free worldwide delivery, plus Amazon and other big sellers. Some of them also giftwrap for less than the cost of posting direct from you to them.

Also, if you send one big box, look at the cost of a courier. They can be as little as £6 in mainland UK.
