  • Napkins sound good! What are you planning on doing for this year then? :)
This year they're gonna look like this:

I think I'm gonna show Mum before Christmas day this year and see if she can get napkins with a design on both sides (the above was made using one of last years leftover napkins and I'm not really sure about the white bits.)
  • i have gone through my blog (homepage in my profile) and have found these gifts i made last year

Omg I love that! It's so simple but I love it. My sister is always pinching humbugs from my Nana's little dish of them in her kitchen. Tempted to make her a little bag but I haven't got a stamp or stencil kit for the lettering. Hmm.... I'll ponder that one.
  • that lettering was printed on the computer! and then just cut out and folded to make a toppper,

You could do them in a jar and make a little tag to attach too
  • Oh really? I thought it was stencilled :rotfl: Printing would be a lot easier. Thanks!
  • Just read on the Grabbit Board that the M&S sale starts instore tomorrow. I'm going to pop in and see if I can see anything that will make a good gift/stocking filler.

First thing to do is sit down and write a list of everyone you want to buy for, and maybe a budget for each person. Then you need to start thinking of gifts and assigning them to each person (do your drawer first). It will also help to have a browse through peoples blogs and fanpages as I am sure you will find lots of ideas from there, I did! There is also lots of sales on towards the end of summer to clear stuff ready for the next season items so keep your eyes peeled when shopping!

i get things in the summer sales too really good bargains too be had sometimes. also im the same with writing a list of what to buy people. last year was my first proper money saving christmas, this thread was brilliant i learnt so much, the freebies and grabbit now threads are good. good place to start is with a notebook or spreadsheet and thinking of who you want to buy for, budgets for each person then what you could get them or already have for them.
  • Some of the gifts in this thread are lovely i am just going to get basics i think and make my own decorations from twigs and pine cones.
