Hi can I join in please I love Christmas!! I was trying to plan our christmas day today and thought I would treat DH to having christmas dinner out (he is the cook), but oh my goodness I was shocked at the prices, cheapest was £50 each! So i think I might just treat him by peeling the sprouts instead lol!0

you're lucky to get in anywhere round my way leaving it till now. i know someone who booked her table in January cause when she tried for last christmas in september couldn't get it.

Hope you dont mind me coming in ont eh thread too ladies! Ive got a written down list of gifts Ive got for people but started putting it on spreadsheet yesterday. Have added all the women just got to add the men/boys now! I have bought all the womens gifts now (just need a few extra for mum, best mate etc) but really struggle when it comes to the men!
However I think I may do a pint of socks for some of the men as this seems such a good idea! Is it just as simple as buying a pint glass then putting 2 pairs of black socks and one pair of white in? (Im guessing at this number of socks so correct me if Im wrong!)
Im also very tempted by the flannel reindeers! Going to see if I can find out what we are doing for christmas dinner, may do these as a dinner gift or as an addition present for some people.0 -
Pint of socks instructions
I've just added an extra colour to my spreadsheet so I can see "ordered and arrived" versus "ordered and not yet arrived" versus "ideas but not ordered". I love being an Excel nerd! And as always I recommend dealextreme.com for gadgety gifts. I don't work for them but I think they're awesomeHalfcost.co.uk have some DVD box sets for cheap at the moment too if any of your men are into Alien and Predator.

For the pints of socks i always use 2 pairs of socks and 1
cream flannel there on my blog if you want to have a look.
Then i put this on a tag
Our lager,
Which art in barrels,
Hallowed be thy drink.
I will be drunk,
At home as in the tavern.
Give us this day our foamy head,
And forgive us our spillages,
As we forgive those
Who spill against us.
And lead us not to incarceration,
But deliver us from hangovers.
For thine is the beer,
The bitter and The lager.
Forever and ever,

They do and it's free, but remember that if the value of your parcel is over £36 then you're liable for customs duty so make multiple orders if you're planning to spend above that amount
the limit is £18
anything over that is taxable
i import a lot of things(and pay lots of import tax:(:(:()
taken from the HM Revenue & Customs site
2.3 What are the limits for customs duty and import VAT?- Commercial consignments of £18 or less are free from customs duty and import VAT. For example, goods purchased over the internet with an intrinsic value not exceeding £18, will not be charged any duty or VAT but this does not include alcohol, tobacco products, perfume or toilet waters. See paragraph 2.5, 2.6 and section 3.

Oh, goodness, I'm sorry
My spreadsheet is astonishingly nerdy. I keep opening it just to look because I am so pleased with it.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
