i have been doing this since xmas, after my old boots bargains obsession.

So how to start properly: i have LOADS of mini things, should i put away the full size things and use all these up first? get lots of small things out of the way (easy wins!!)

i have loads of the mini day and night creams from the No 7 free bags. and shampoo from a T&G glitch. I think thats the plan, stick away the big things (900ml of tressamee will take forver to use up) and use up the small ones.

I did give away a load of stuff to a homeless charity collection before xmas, so that felt good, its now all down to one box in my wardrobe to use up.

glad to find people with the same issues as me :D

Randomness - the little tins of moxie tampons match well with the S&G hatbox :D:rotfl:

Thanks for that! Now that I'm on the mini pill I don't have periods... but I do love the Moxie tins!

Use up the minis first if that makes you feel better... or you could keep some of them for holidays.

I used up a jar of Time Delay Rejuvenating Day Moisturiser this morning - no idea what it cost but I would say around £7 (with skinnie) so that's gone into the savings pot and I'll update my sig now. WIBA - yes - it's gorgeous. Very rich yet sinks in well.

I'm also about to finish my mini pot of Righteous Butter (I still have a large tub unusued!). It's only got a tiny bit left so that will do my hands today. WIBA - yes, I loved it. I'll put £2.25 in the savings pot for that. :T

    Have a good day ladies!

Can I ask a stupid question? Good, here goes.......

What do you actually use a foundation brush for? I mean obviously it's for foundation but surely you don't treat it like a paint brush so how does it work? :o

How to Use a Foundation Brush

If you haven't used a foundation brush before, it's important to know the basics so that your makeup applies easily and flawlessly. Even if you're a beginner, you'll be able to follow these simple tips and create a smooth, even canvas.
    1. Pour a small amount of foundation (assuming you are using a liquid) onto the back of your hand.
    2. Pick up some foundation with the brush. If you prefer light coverage, dip only one side of the brush in the makeup. If you want fuller coverage, use both sides of the brush to pick up the makeup.
    3. Use broad, downward strokes to sweep and blend the makeup onto the nose, forehead, cheeks and chin.
    4. Use the tapered edges of the brush to blend the makeup into those hard-to-reach areas, like the corners of the nose, hairline and around the eyes and mouth.
If you're using a cream or powder foundation, simply run the brush over the product in its container.

Kaz this explains it better than I would :D

Finished a No 7 Dual Protection Tinted Moisturiser this morning. :T Would definitely buy it again, the best one I've ever tried.

Agree! DD bought this and loves it. I used hers last summer. For tinted moisturiser it still gives quite good, lasting, light coverage. I will definitely buy some this summer.

Adding a sachet of Palmers cocoa butter and an M&S lipgloss to my used up list this morning.

The shower cubicle stinks of Veet

I used up my Boots hair mask today. WIBA? Yes, I think so. It's only £1.99 and lasted well. It's a nice treat at the weekend, plus I have another one lurking in my stash as you could get 100 extra points on it at one point :o

OK doing quite well here on the using up front. All organic care shampoo & conditioner, now finished. Also finished a TS soothe cod ( WIBA- yes these are replacements)

Revitalift night will officially finish tonight. I have been mooching around the internet- and found it half price ( ish) in sainsbugs at 6.xx.

As I know I like and use this, I honestly cant think of anything better for cheaper that Id prefer. So will do this.

Also dare i say It i might as well pick up some conditioner as its only 20p or so for the coconut conditioner- this was definitely chosen as WBA by me earlier this month, so will pick up a few for the stockpile. I wont be able to get conditioner that I know I like cheaper than that!

Have used up the green tea dove -WIBA- no - very boring indeed. Would be good if you choose "family" fragrance, this is v unisex, and doesn't really smell of much - just "clean". WIBA - no, nice enough, but nothing special at all.

Have now moved onto the PLANTANA one I got from HBs. I know this is definitely not v good, as there is half a bottle left- tried to use it late last year. .Theres nothing wrong with it, aside from the smell which reminds me of acleaning product from the past I cant place.

Once this is used there is only one shower gell left and that is the nice Dove Silk which I know I do like.

For those with extra soaps- I am making frugal laiundry gloop- Home made laundry liquid. I have one "no brand" cheapie white soap and 2x Dove beauty bars that I will use for this. ;)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Oh salesaddict, what are we going to do with you?? Have a big hug. Now, ask yourself - do I already have things like these in my stash? If so, then either eBay them or resolve not to buy any more of them! It's the only way.

Interesting that you mention the weight loss threads. I am starting to see this challenge as a catalyst for all sorts of positive changes in my life e.g. beforehand, I see that I was out of control. I could not resist a Grabbit or a bargain, yet the accumulation of products was not making me happy. Now I have totally changed my outlook! I carefully consider all purchases and have said no to 90% of the temptations that have come my way in the last month. I am now happier and really enjoying my products - in fact I'm sitting here right now covered in Righteous Butter and Avon bust firming cream and feeling gorgeous. I am in control. The bargains are not controlling me.

So anyway (I'm sure you are wondering what this has to do with weight loss!). The same principles can be applied to weight loss! Now that I feel in control in one area, it is making me feel more in control in other areas - for example, I am spending less and I am tidying more and my life seems to be getting more organised. And this is strengthening my resolve to regain control over my body. I am starting to carefully question what I am eating, I am pushing myself out the door to go for a walk, I am doing squats every day. I know it's a strange analogy but there you go!

Sorry for the long rambly post but hope it helps.

p.s. it was me who said you needed to stop shopping. :o

(((salesaddict))) - I think Tara has given some sound advice, can I add mine? Maybe you need to think about why you are doing this? I'm doing this because I want to be debt free. Every spare penny I have is getting flung at my debt. Its not been easy and I've been at it for nearly 2 and a half years. But finally there is light at the end of the tunnel and the cc will be paid off in 2 months. Am I prepared to throw it all away to have another lipstick or bubble bath that I dont need? Of course not.

I'm also trying to lose weight, but I can only keep up with one thread at a time :o
