Today I managed to finish up a bottle of particularly nasty shower gel. It's called wink and was won in a raffle. Unfortunately it also came with a body lotion and some body spray. DD can have the body spray when she's used up the other one I gave her. The lotion will be reserved for my feet. I had a lovely long bath this evening. Painted my toenails (scarlet collection 2000), shaved my legs, pits and bits (with the awful fructis conditioner). Washed my hair and used the awful conditioner (thought it was going to be finished tonight but alas no!). Then got out and moisturised my legs (and arms- put too much in my hand) with the dove tanning cream. Then washed my face with the olay scrubby daily cleanser. Then used some calamity spot lotion. Then tried some protect and perfect serum from my chainmail gift bag. I thought this was lovely and I will use my £5 no7 voucher to buy some if it's not too expensive. Then I put on a full face and went to get dressed (even remembered my deodorant and perfume!). After I got my uniform on, I smothered my feet/ hands in some bodyshop aromatherapy peppermint lotion and put my socks on.
I noticed that my nails have discoloured and gone cloudy so I will redo them tomorrow- it may be the dove.
Just checked my legs now and they do have a nice glow about them- I don't like the smell but can live with it for the effect I get from the lotion. That is, if I don't decide to buy some cheap fake tan and mix it with one of the millions of body lotions to try and get the same effect. I don't know if you can get cheap fake tan though?
I've brought the body shop lotin to work tonight and am proffering it to the others- they're loving it! It's in a handy pump dispenser and I may rinse it and refill if I ever use it up!
The conditioner will be used up tomorrow as DD will have her hair conditioned ready for school on Monday. I think I will then start on the trsemme bottle again. The trouble with them is that they are so huge, they don't fit on the bath side. I wish I'd thought when I used up my FCUK pump and I could have decanted some.
Had a whiff of my S&G bubble bath today. Not sure- is it really worth the hype? I know it's quite expensive and wondered whether to make a gift hamper from it. Mind you, it's only SiL who I know uses it and her birthday is December.
Got lots of comments when I got into work tonight- then the girls started asking which Dr's were on call. Cheeky minxes! They said I looked very glam (in my pyjamas). I've definately noticed that people tend to be less fastidious about their makeup and hair since we've been changed to our scrubs. There was something about wearing a nicely ironed dress with your shiny buckle that made you want to be immaculately groomed. Hmm, something to ponder on! I am loving this - cos I'm realising which products I actually likeNot sure if Ive missed this freyasmum but Ive seen this in 99p stores today andI bought one myself from home bargains for 99p last week.
Thank you! Will have to have a look and see if any of our local stores sell it - after I've finished the ones I have (and the ones I got in boots the other day :rotfl:).CompletelyLost wrote: »Yeah, it definitely is. It's almost as good as the rush I get from buying new stuffbut mainly because I know I only have another 1563 products to go until I can buy some new stuff :rotfl:
Forget who asked, but toner is used to remove any remaining cleanser from your skinI never use it though.
Oh, that's another thing. Lost a 1/4 of a bottle of boots nail varnish remover. I was reading the reviews on boots.com and both people said the same - the remover itself is good, but the bottle breaks down. Then I realised it has acetone in it - the product is actually too strong for the bottle :rotfl:! WIBA? Yes, but I would have to change the bottle - the top of mine actually came clean off! Good remover, only £1.25 a bottle, and works just as well as any 'named' brands.
Randomness - the little tins of moxie tampons match well with the S&G hatbox:rotfl:

Just had my shower and managed to chuck 4 empties in the bin!
P&P night cream finished, will use up the chain mail bag freebie pot until I finish the nearly-empty day cream too. It seems sooo wrong not to start the 2 new full size pots at the same time(WHY??)
Half a tube of Veet......forced it down the shower plughole as a preventative measure WIBA? Yuk, no! I'd forgotten how vile this smells. (Got it from the hosp to use before a VV op......no shaving legs in case of cuts)
Gucci Envy body lotion, squeezed into a larger bottle of ...Gucci Envy body lotion. Had this ages, it's a bit passe but I do still like to wear it when I'm in the mood. Evokes some good memories! There's a tiny bit of shower gel from the same set left and a deodorant which OH bought at the airport (I think he thought it was perfume spray actually, but never mind, I didn't say anything!! )and a tiny bit of EDP which I'll keep cos I'm not likely to replace this fragrance.
Also finished the M&S almond handcream on my feet, which was OK but very ordinary............another lady sitting here in her little socks tonight!
Night night!0 -

NAB - I love hugh jackman. And, a little less hollywood, but I love the vampire from being human  Favourite though is gerard butler :AActually, I think that really deserves a " Well Done!" :TFinished an Aquarium handwash, opened a Pears one, my last. I never really went in for stockpiling handwash for some reason, so at least that's something I can start buying again soon :rotfl:It's my favouritest smelling handwash though - the pink radox one. It was something along the lines of £20 worth of products for like 20p and then loads of points :T
Well done Queen of No Matter What :T:T For some reason, I really wanna say 'snaps for Queen'. If anyone else has seen legally blonde 2, you'll know what I'm talking about :rotfl:
Salesaddict - it'll take time, but you'll get there :kisses3:
Babafette - I hope you feel better now
Night night, Bronnie :hello: And well done with the 4 empties too!0 -
Can I ask a stupid question? Good, here goes.......
What do you actually use a foundation brush for? I mean obviously it's for foundation but surely you don't treat it like a paint brush so how does it work?
I'm still ploughing through the make up too. I have started to put £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up and throw away. I read about that on this thread. Thanks for inspiring me to do this. So far I have only got £1 in there but the hardest thing is to start.
Off to have a shower soon and continue using up my schampoo, shower gel, body lotion and moisturiser.
Have a nice weekend everyone.
Becky

Just decanted an old bottle of shampoo into an empty showergel bottle again! Not bought anything for ages even though I've a £5 off Boots token. I just think about all the stuff I need to use up if I'm tempted. Brilliant thread, thank you.0

I thought I would go to our nearest town today to do a bit of food shopping and whilst I was there I thought I would have a look in Wilkinsons to see if they sell pump bottles for my conditioner. Does anyone know if they sell them in there or am I going to have to go to Boots afterall.
I was also thinking of treating myself to some moisturising gloves too as I think I have been a good girl and desevere it :jDid owe £9,951.96

forgot to mention that me and mum went int lush yesterday, I just don't understand what all the hype is about lush, it's really expensive and although the products look pretty and smell pretty I couldn't imagine using them. We both walked out empty handed smelling of all the products we'd prodded and poked. Will prop pop to asda today but won't go down the toiletries sections. Don't need anything.
Still waiting for the S&G offer to pass, it's the only one I feel tempted by at the moment*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -

Me too. I love buying lipsticks and glosses, but how the hell do you finish them? I can't even throw them out for hygenic reasons - mostly they're pristine and unused!
Finished a No 7 Dual Protection Tinted Moisturiser this morning. :T Would definitely buy it again, the best one I've ever tried.0
