I have to confess to going and spending money in the Boots 75% off sale this morning, but in my defence, I bought my mum the No7 Ultimate Collection, I bought two Ted Baker gift sets for friends birthdays in the next month or so and a Ted Baker set for my Dad. The things I bought for myself were mainly non toiletries - some blinging photo frames, a cat mug and some mini Baileys gift sets. The only toiletry item that I bought for myself was a Good Works Hand Wash and Lotion Set (which is more necessary than frivolous).

I am very proud of myself as I wanted a No7 Ultimate Collection for me, but I already have most of the products in it and don't need duplicates or my stash will keep cluttering up my tiny flat, I can wait until next year when it is reduced again or for any other offers when I run out of stash!!
I'm buying No More Toiletries, I'm Deluttering and I'm Losing Weight for 2010!

    Opinions please...

P.S. I noticed that the skincare is normal/dry. I'm combination/normal (all the more normal as I get older). Will that make all that much of a difference, or am I just trying to convince myself?
It'll probably be a bit a heavy for you, but if you think you'll use it, then go for it. I guess you could always use the moisturiser as a night cream? Not that I'm encouraging you, of course :A

    I've been Money Tipped!
Ina Pickle, I vote no for the cream. Notonly is it likely to be too heavy for you, but we are heading into summer, where you'll need lighter stuff than normal. Seriously, its only a few weks till spring, and the hottest time of year seems to be very early summer these days. :)

Claireac, I'm the same, a bit younger but dieting, and terrified about extra skin:o. I've been making comparisons of brands (some luxury, some normal highstreet) an I am amazed that so far dove pro age one seems by far the best for my skin, and its 1/5 of the price some of them cost. I have loads open at a time because I know I'll use them and I like to coordinate with scents etc. It also means I can do odd things like half a body with one and half abody with another for personal reviews :D:o

Guess what my mum gave me last night?! Some Dove pro age!! Spooky......So I have that to use up too, but it does mean I won't have to buy any more!

Has anyone tried the S&G eye cream (no idea what it's called!)?? I have a pot that I wasn't given as a present and wondered what it was like, particularly as I wear contacts.

I will be popping into Boots at some point!! It's my bil & sil's birthdays coming up so some bargain smellies would be ideal. Sil and I always seem to buy each other Sanctuary bits as we both love it.

Hi guys, thanks for the advice,

Right, I only just got your advice guys as nobody had replied by the last time I checked last night so I went for it: I got the Ultimate Collection set for £15. I must admit that I am DELIGHTED at the prospect of having a slightly heavier day cream as the stuff I've got now is a bit light for winter and I'm going to need new moisturiser in the near future and I've been wondering what to get instead of my usual. I will try to use the No7 first, and keep the rest of my Clinique until the ligher weather starts again. Of course, it may all go horrible wrong, but it might all go right for once as well! :D I must admit, I already have eye make-up remover and cleanser in abundance, but I've essentially got it for 'free' as I paid less for the whole set than I would have for those two items (£9.50 + £7.50 = £17), so if it doesn't do it for me I can always replace the moisturiser using my £5 off voucher and sell the whole set on Ebay for a profit. I see it as a win-win situation. I will always use the other stuff if I don't sell it, but not for a while.

That was not the only thing I bought in the sale.:o However, the rest are for presents later in the year and I will not be opening them. I bought 3 toiletry kits and some cufflinks for my brother, which will be his birthday present or parts of his birthday/Christmas present, 4 big body sets with 2 fruity body washes and a body butter (from £10 to £2.50 - that's a lot of my friends catered for this year! ;)) I also got some make-up brushes and a manicure set (for me, I admit it, but the manicure set was in a really, really nice leather case and the brushes were needed: I paid for £5 for the lot!).

That is me absolutely set for the year. I'm really happy about getting the sets as it means I don't have to buy more expensive ones of inferior quality at the end of the year. I know I don't get tempted to break into them, so they will be safe. That's £50 that sorts out the rest of my year. Bargain! :D

P.S. Have just roughly totted up how much the skincare would cost me if I bought all the bits individually and it comes to more than £50! :D that's not including the case or the make-up. Blimey - what a bargain!

Well done everyone for keeping strong at the Boots sale! :T

I went into Boots today and didn't buy anything for myself so feeling very virtuous. :A

I also used some more sachets of shampoo/conditioner and facial exfoliator, and the dregs of a bubble bath I found while rooting for sachets! :D
