Ok, well, I went to Boots. I bought some of the reduced non-cosmetic presents, and the Nivea Irresistibly Smooth box, some eyeshadows, four handcreams, three shampoos, bubble bath, six packets of wipes, shower gel, perfume, cosmetic sponges, soap, toothbrushes, three toothpastes - so I suppose I fell off the wagon.

But I always knew this would be my last hurrah before beginning the challenge in earnest, and I'm surprised I didn't get more :rotfl: I managed to resist quite well, for me - Everyone else's trolleys seemed much higher :D

Oh, and I finished a packet of wipes last night, so that's something :p
  • Hi ladies, so i went to the boots sale as i said i would and was really good and only bought the pressents i wanted, cufflinks, cards etc and left, was very good:Aunlike the other day:o.

Also the 17 nail polish i put on last night has already chipped, granted i did forget to put on topcoat but it is really poor, its the old style bottle so wiba no.

Will post again a bit later as gonna go do the ironing, so see you later

    Nab

    xx

First the good news - have looked on the Boots site, but didn't buy anything. (Ok there's really nothing left worth having). Finished up No 7 P&P serum so feeling good.

Then the bad news - using Olay now. It seems very greasy compared to the serum and I felt that I had to wait ages before I could put my foundation on. Is it worth the wait? :confused:I've got half a bottle of the stuff to get through.

Good news - managed to cut up the large bar of soap I had. It was reasonable successful, alright for the bathroom but it would look very odd in the cloackroom. Still son is using it so that's a bonus.

    I've been Money Tipped!
How long is ages twins mum? I always leave my moisturiser etc ten minutes (I have my stuff my the bed so after teeth etc I can put it on and have ten minutes rest :))

Forgot to add finishd a hand cream last night. Wouldn't buy again: boots overnight hand and nail treatment. Its ok, but no better or worse than that. :)

It was probably about ten minutes. Like you I put it on upstairs and then do my make up as about the last thing I do before leaving the house. It just felt greasy and I felt I looked a little 'shiny'. I think I'm going to have to give it a couple of days of use and see if my skin likes it more than I do. The serum absorbed so well I was probably spoilt.

I got hubby a no7 set but that was it. He needed some new face wash anyway. the set cost £4.50. He also needed face scrub which wasn't in the sale so I got him that and got another No7 voucher.

    :o:o:o:o

So anyway, there I was, out of deodorant and using my USELESS japanese no-aluminium one since Monday, and I know that Boots sells its Essentials roll-on for 59p… AND I had been dying to try the ACM to see how many 200pt vitamin vouchers I could get! So I went in, picked up my El Cheapo deodorant and went to the ACM… and what do you know, I managed to print 16 vouchers!!!! LOL

So I duly picked up 16 packs of 99p vitamins, went to the pharmacy till (it's always quiet) and the poor SA put them all through one by one, I got 3200 points for just £15.84! Then I went off to the sale aisles and picked up LOTS of fab gifts (got some birthdays coming up - and yes, I know I already have a gift stash :o), some treats for my mum and OH, next year's wrapping paper, cards and tags etc… all for £28!! I paid with points and left feeling very smug indeed. I got about £112 of stuff for £15.84 and have 400 points left over... so in Boots logic it cost me £11.84 (90% off the original price)!

So have I succeeded or failed today? :rotfl:

I suppose you can't expect a crowd of toiletries addicts to go cold turkey straight away!!!

p.s. I finished a mini Body Shop Vitamin E night cream last night, yay! WIBA: Yes, definitely, but I have lots of others including 4 (yes 4) jojoba night creams that I got for £2.70 before Christmas!
