Then the bad news - using Olay now. It seems very greasy compared to the serum and I felt that I had to wait ages before I could put my foundation on. Is it worth the wait? :confused:I've got half a bottle of the stuff to get through.

Maybe try it as a night cream/neck and decollete only (they're drier than the face)/hand cream/ at weekends when you might be wearing makeup during the day?

    HTH. :)

I reckon you are OK so long as you don't break into anything to use it for yourself. Having said that, I'm feeling a bit more forgiving than usual today...nothing to do with the Boots sale at all! *Whistles and looks around innocently*

I bought gifts at the Boots sale too, I don't count it as failing because I am not going to use the sets or add them to my stash!

To be honest, I think we could all recommend a product but it might not suit your skin, so could end up another product to "use up".
Personally I am using revitalifdt at the moment and I really like it, but to be honest, you might as well buy the clinique if you can ( use up points/ get cashback etc) as at least you know youll use it, and get VFM from it.

Very true, and do you know, this stopped my buying eye cream in Saisnbury's last night - i went to see if there were any offers on toothpaste (about to run out, honestly!) and there was loads of Oil of Olay stuff beside it, including an eye gel for just under £5 - I looked at it for ages, but didn't buy it, woohoo! I figured i should get some sample stuff and work out what i like first rather than waste more money. :D
Hey fixx, I agree with lynzpower. Buy what you like. I find a lot of eye creams seem to make my eyes sting and all sorts. Plus if you buy at bonus time you can then sell the gift on ebay? Heres a list of forthcoming clinique bonus times, and where:
    http://www.clinique.co.uk/stores_events/se_bonus_time.tmpl

True - I thought about the Clinique stuff I might need to replace, and i reckon i can do without for a while. I have some tinted moisturisers to use up, which can surely replace foundation if i keep pampering and improving my skin like this :) So that means i won't need foundation for a while. I've also got loads of random moisturisers. So while the DramDiff lotion is by far the best I've ever used, and will need replacing in a month or so, i reckon i can wait longer by using up other not so good stuff, and alternating it with my Clinique moisturiser. :j

And in the meantime i'm going to follow the advice of getting free samples to see if i can find anything better!

To that end, i did spend some money ordering the Olay eyepod sample stuff from latestinbeauty, oops! I'll create a sig and start tracking my spend... I also cleared out my mags last night, and decided on one subscription, rather than buying loads. I then found a subscriber offer on Glamour with a set includign eye cream, so have signed up to that - doesn't that mean the toiletries are free, as i'd have paid for the mags anayway?! :o

p.s. did ANYONE here not go to Boots? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I suppose you can't expect a crowd of toiletries addicts to go cold turkey straight away!!!

I did actually pop in at lunchtime today, but fortunately the sale stuff was virtually gone, so i got some lunch food and left!

I was definitely more restrained than usual!!!!!!! I actually put a few things back as I knew I didn't really need them, and was trying not to spend more than the points I'd earned on the vitamins.

And it's ironic that now I'm soooo blase about the Boots sale (couldn't have cared less whether I got anything or not tbh) I get some great bargains!! :rotfl:

Oooh, i actualy have some of those vitamin points coupons - i must use them. That's my other plan for eventually buying more Clinique stuff - save up my points, then spend them on my Clinique needs in Boots next time there is a bonus time offer there! :D

Lets hope it's not too soon, i need more points!
