I finished a bottle of Sainsbury's coconut conditioner and a Palmolive shower scrub this morning :)
The conditioner was lovely but the scrub didn't scrub enough for my liking. Unfortunately I have a spare of the latter but not the former!
  • Errr, hmmm...tricky one that, I just sort of make them! OK - for a standard sized tin of sweetcorn (I use Tesco value)
    Drain your sweetcorn well.
Crack and egg into a bowl or jug, and beat with enough flour to make a REALLY stiff mix - I'm talking almost too stiff to stir anymore.
Gradually add milk to make a thickish batter - bit thicker than for a yorkie pud.
    Season - salt & pepper
    Stir in the sweetcorn.
Heat a frying pan with a small amount of oil in it - for a good nonstick pan you don't need much oil.
Dollop the fritter mix into the pan and cook!

Absolutely ridiculous, isn't it! Now I know why I never go to shops the day the sale starts!
Thanks EH that sounds great and ive got a can of sweetcorn in the cupboard, think i will try making them tomorrow as also have few leftovers and some salad that needs eating within the next few days.

Lovely. Smells gorgeous and love the shower gel. Really shouldn't be thinking about Clinique products.:eek:.
Im using Clinique Deep comfort body moisture at the moment but mine says 100% fragrance free is this the same stuff:confused:? Must say its doing a great job, goes on lovely and my skin feels peachy. Was using a ck secret obsession body lotion before this and was not that impressed, smelt lovely but was quite runny and not that moisturising

Yes. Thought it smelt sort of citrussy. Was a while since I used it. Does make skin feel soft. Champneys has a version they sell in Sainsbury, Moisture miracle skin conditioning body butter and a matching shower gel. I only buy it when it's 25% off. Next reduction will probably be Mother's Day. (Can't buy any as I'll still have loads of stuff left.:rotfl::rotfl:)
    I went away and now I'm back.:j:j

BACK!!.. probably going to be made redundant.... but 3 bottles in the recycling:beer:... you guessed .. i'm hysterical just now!!!!!!!!!

Last week I'd be so pleased about that.. now I'm thinking can my stash last for 20years??..
My whole team going to be made redundant.. it looks like...and it seems wrong to be worried about bath gel.. but I know if we are to survive in a decent lifestyle we need to take control of all of these things...
    speak again when i'm rational..xx
  • used up one handcream. still got loads left. yay!
finished up a horrendously expensive body cream. gutted i got to the end of it before it had time to change my body back to that of a 20 year old
i forgot i bought lush stuff on boxing day. it made economic sense to stock up on shampoo and conditioner from there to get the free boxes. but now i've got to use up the stuff. the sugar exfoliator left tracks on my skin  so that's for my feet.

i also think i smell a bit cheap. not impressed at all. at least the stuff was free.

I know this sounds so tight, but sav the bottles and bring them home, so that you can refill them from the stash on the next trip. I have been known to tip out rubbish hotel minis and refill with the stuff I use at home.
    QUOTE]

Not tight at all! Good tip and well worth everyone saving a few of those mini tubs and bottles from Xmas sets.... so handy for travelling. You would NEVER want to have to buy those empty bottles, would you?!!

Pippo.........sorry to hear your news. Keep posting when you feel like. You're right, taking control of the small stuff is important at times like this too! Good luck!

OH made me laugh tonight. Came over when we finished work and shouted from the bathroom "Have you got any face cream?"
LOL! :rotfl: Have I got any face cream???????????:rotfl:Only 6 months supply of P&P. Anyway, quickly thought, you're not getting your hands on that, when I've got all this stuff to get rid of, so passed him an odd sachet of Clinique Youth Surge and told him if he rubbed it in well he'd look 25 in the morning!

Off-loaded a couple of freebie sample size No 7 Men's Bodywash on DD's BF. (Don't know where they came from?????) He's a bit of a man's man and looked at them suspiciously. She told him it was just bodywash and he said that was OK then, as he thought it was something poofy (his words!!). Think he'd prefer to shower with washing-up-liquid, than "something poofy", bless him!!!!

Decided to try and freecycle the tanning stuff, before I bin it. Actually there've been a few ads for toiletries on there recently, including a freecycler called "Deborah", who's been getting rid of bits and bobs. Deborah from Wirral, are you lurking here by any chance?!!

Enjoyed using some lovely Boots Aromatherapy stuff in the shower tonight, as a reward for finishing the Timotei yesterday. Glad to hear about the free Ebay listing day on Sunday, will put a few things on then.

I'm sorry to hear that, but at least you have your priorities in order! ;)

(Sorry, but that was just so funny the way you wrote it! :o :rotfl: Best of luck in finding something else. :T)

@ SSL - have a fab time! how big will this thread be when you get back?

@Pippo - sorry about that, what horrendous news:(

I was given a Sanctuary Gift Set tonight (late Christmas present) and got given a conditioner from a friend that I ordered at an aloe vera party. So that's built my stash up. I did finally finish the moisturiser that was running low.
  • I finally finished something else - a bottle of Charles Worthington leave it spray stuff that makes your hair soft and shiny (can't remember what its called). I bought two bottles when it was reduced to 69p and it has taken almost a year to use one bottle!!

I am running low on leave in conditioner but OH will buy some for me next time we do the food shopping.

I also found a face exfoliator that i don't like the texture of on my face but will be perfect for my hands as my hand scrub is running low.

I do love reading this thread. Painted my nails last night, one coat of a purple looking nails inc varnish followed by a shimmer nails inc one over the top as the purple was a little deep for work. Feel a bit more glam today.
  • Just had a off topic question to put to your guys as OH and i were arguing about this last night.

Does anyone else match their jewellery to their clothes or make-up?

I do all the time and OH said it was silly and he doesn't know anyone who does that. Like today i have a blue t-shirt on so i'm wearing mostly clear diamond jewellery but have picked a tanzanite ring that is the exact same colour as my t-shirt.
