Well... I had my first spend of 2010... a rather unintersting £2 on a bottle of Charles Worthington Shampoo and this rather nifty looking bottle of Olay moisture mousse... think it was quite bargainuss £2 for both!
On the other side... I just phoned Champneys to book my spa break and booked £300 worth of treatments (but it is pre-wedding prep) and I EVENTUALLY(!)found a hair and make up artist for the wedding at £180 which I've had to pay the deposit for eeeeek... soooooooooooooo not counting salon/ wedding treatments in my beauty spend!!!!0 -
I can't finish anything - I have an eternal No 7 Liplicious - it seems to reproduce itself in the night.
On the other hand, its occured to me that I also hoard herbal tea, which noone else will drink, so I'm trying to finish that up, with better success - 2 boxes used up since the beginning of January :j:rotfl:0 -
I did go and take stock of some of the stuff I've got last night - will do a full list at the weekend. It isn't actually too bad - although the big bottles of boots cleanser and toner that are staring at me haven't gone gone since last July (maybe because I bought a couple of packs of wipes after I'd finished the last challenge....)
I also put all my unused S&G stash in the hat box I've taken some stuff out of to use so now it's all together and decanted some showergel from my big clean on me bottle into the little minis that I take when I go away - they're really good little bottles for doing this with and that means I'm almost finished the clean on me in the shower - a 500ml bottle with a pump lasts forever (I was given a 250ml for birthday and 500ml for Christmas of their new one though so I'm not going to run out any time soon!)
I did sit down this morning and use stuff properly like eye gel for the first time in a while. Last year when I did a similar challenge on here I got a lot out of actually making time to sit and use the products :-)Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Couldn't remember if I'd actually posted on here yesterday, so I've just had to go back and check! :rotfl:
I know that makes me sound slightly (ok, very) loopy, but I wrote a post, and then got rather distracted by ds roaring and thundering down the stairs. I actually thought he'd fallen down them, so just threw my laptop down and rushed out to see him disappearing out the front door.
Horrible little toerags from the local school had put yet another snowball through his bedroom window (we're waiting to get it repaired today) and he'd gone out so he could identify them.
Just been on the phone to school, who were great. We'll see though.
Anyway, had to buy some deodorants yesterday as we're coming up to runing out time and Sure are 2 for 1, so bought four.
Finished a shower gel - hurrah - so now on next Original Source one.
Need a Break - chicken was lovely, just roasted with veg and gravy. Yum. Leftovers are going in soup with dumplings tonight.
Sorry about your window, little rotters! I love your cooking style, never made dumplings myself but they sound lovely. Its lamb in black bean sauce with pan fried noodles / egg fried rice. Ds2 hates pasta/ noodles etc so allways have to do some rice as well, i wouldnt mind but hes only 3 and will not even put it in his mouth..

Well basically whilst I was an Avon rep, and also after, everytime they brought out a new fragrance I bought it, then when I realised I couldn't use them all before they brought another fragrance out I decided I would just stick with the brand that to me was more value for money and just bought those when a new fragrance came out. I have since come to my senses and realised I still wouldn't use them up before a new fragrance was brought out and finally stopped buying them altogether. At least I know now that that figure will start coming down.
In my defence I have a friend who bought me 3 M&S shower gels for my birthday one year and my husband said on the way home that she wouldn't have bought them for me if she'd known the true extent of my stash and also I have just trialed a shower gel which has put me back a month otherwise it would probably have been 78 by now :rotfl:Did owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

I have also realised that I have the same problem with cleaning products as I do with toiletries:cool:0 -

Help, girls! We have a large full bottle of Garnier self tan (likely to be 1-2 years old.) Dd has never used it because of the horrid biscuity smell. P&P on ebay is probably going to make it not worth listing.....it was only a couple of quid anyway.....so do I have clearance from you guys to bin it??
Even my ingenuity with reusing stuff, can't find an alternative use for this one !!
BIN IT!!!:rotfl:
