Errr, hmmm...tricky one that, I just sort of make them! OK - for a standard sized tin of sweetcorn (I use Tesco value)
Drain your sweetcorn well.
Crack and egg into a bowl or jug, and beat with enough flour to make a REALLY stiff mix - I'm talking almost too stiff to stir anymore.
Gradually add milk to make a thickish batter - bit thicker than for a yorkie pud.
Season - salt & pepper
Stir in the sweetcorn.
Heat a frying pan with a small amount of oil in it - for a good nonstick pan you don't need much oil.
Dollop the fritter mix into the pan and cook! That's just ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I like a bargain as much as the next person, but to actually behave in such a manner as to get oneself barred is ludicrous (not to mention counter-productive). Loosing one's dignity for the sake of a £5 saving or so just beggars belief. Get lives, you sad wenches!
Absolutely ridiculous, isn't it! Now I know why I never go to shops the day the sale starts!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

well its a start
finished a No 7 Protect and Perfect moisturising body serum which i got in a goft set ni the sales last year and also a clinique mini deep comfort body butter
also i had the bright idea of mixing my 3 mini mineral foundations as 2 were too light and 1 too dark, anyway they are now in the bin as i didnt like the shade it mixed to and i hate the consistency of mineral make up
i will be honest and admit i can be quite lax with the whole moisturising etc malarky and least by doing this kind of challenge i guess im doin what i should be doing :rotfl:
anyway my skin must be loving this as its not had this level of taken care of in months0 -
Another one here for binning the bottle of fake tan - no point in keeping it cluttering the place up if it's never going to be used - like you say, nothing else you can do with it!
The Palmolive shower stuff is finally finished - hurrah! Now moving onto a rather nice Avon Skin So Soft one which I got for 99p with an order before christmas!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I was a wee bit naughty tonight (well not too bad)... I wandered around Boots for ages and ages this evening looking at stuff and comparing face serums etc (I am all out) but decided not to buy anything so left feeling rather saintly. I then walked over to Sainsburys (to buy some mint!) and had a nosey in the toiletries aisle (one that I usually avoid in supermarkets due to my love of Boots). Anyway, Sainsburys had Loreal Dermagenesis stupidly cheap... and I ended up buying a serum and an eye cream for £4.00 and £3.91. I don't have either of these products or anything like them in my stash, so I felt it was justified (and a complete bargain)... Ahhh it feels better to confess!I'm buying No More Toiletries, I'm Deluttering and I'm Losing Weight for 2010!0

Wow, this thread mushroomed since I was last here!
For the record I have bought stuff I know I'll use, I sing a body butter I am steadily using a body butter a week, and a poster on this board recommended Body Shop hemp hand cream, which IS fabulous, possibly the best I've used, I really chug through hand cream an this is a useful buy for me. I'm not a huge Body Shop fan at all, but have to say, I think since I last looked a decade or so since seriously looked, the stuff has really matured, and the whole hemp range was pretty beguiling, but I stayed commited and didn't buy. My rule ATM is to not buy if I have more than 6 weeks supply here.
Also, in my fairly comprehensive review of the body butter market ATM, (I used the stuff twice a day, so have more than one pot open) there is a very, very clear winner based on results and that is Dve Pro Age. I am very, very impressed. I have not yet compared it to the Body shop hemp body butter, because I'm not buying that for a few weeks yet, but it beats the delicious smelling Tesco ones (I have a rose and something and also ginger, pink pepper and vanilla) and the Johnsons dreamy skin (which is lighter in texture and scent though!) and soap and glory. I have rarely been so impressed by the dove body butter it is going to be a regular pre bed one for me once the others are used up.
I've also been really commited to resisting conditioners on special offer ATM.
so far we have gone through one of the 5 shower gels we have, and are two bottles of conditioner down. Wehave made room for a jasmine on the shower shelf,
I have only the current jars of moisturiser suitable for this time of year (one day, one night) because dh has taken the one remaining extra excluding testers. I'd normally be itching to get thers now, to be sure not to run out (incase of getting snowed in again, for example!) but I think, being more sensible, I probably have enough to get through to summer, and I have a summer product to use up, so....no real shortage at all.
DH had an accident and has been unable to get to the Space NK sale (where he makes lots of suprise impulse purchases for me that sometimes are wide of the mark) so that has helped him stick by the resolve too.

Today I have finished a small pot of Soap & Glory scrub & a body butter.
I had my plaster cast removed yesterday and my leg looked like a snake shedding it's skinI have exfoliated a total of 4 times and heaped loads of moisturiser on. My skin is nearly back to nornal, I shall have another go tomorrow.
I have been using a body butter by Organic Surge 150ml and only cost £6.99, this gets a big thumbs up from me as it smells lovely, not too tacky and moisturises very well.0 -
Right, i've been lurking for ages, but getting inspired by everyone's posts. I've been meaning to do a real clear out of my toiletries, makeup etc for ages, and use them all up, as they really are taking up too much space. Also, i know i'm a bit rubbish at moisturing etc, and so i feel guilty for spending money on stuff i think i'll use, and then not using it - my poor body gets so neglected!
So I am joining you, which will make my body feel better (it already does as i've been going for a week) and my bank account look a little healthier tooAnd as a bonus i'll have more space, woohoo!
Unfortunately i have too much stuff and too little time to list everything i have, but suffice to say there is a *massive* box of shampoo and conditioners, heaps of body butter (which I'm quite happy about as I love it, and will enjoy pampering myself with it!), and enough showergel and make-up to last me for years!
I've just gone through a stash of makeup tonight and binned some really old smelly stuff - stuff that there is no way I'm letting near my skin! And also separated out some really nice unused stuff to go on ebay.
And i've finished off a couple of little sample tubs and sachets over the past week, so that's slightly less clutter already
I can and will do this! Thanks for the inspiration all!0 -
I had to nip into Boots today to buy some travel sized bits for the holidays. I bought Aussie shampoo and conditioner and toothpaste. And I didnt buy any S&G stuff or anything else! The bad news is I went into the attic to get my suitcase and spotted a cardboard box that I didnt recognise. My heart sank when I looked inside. It looks like a stash belonging to DD. I gave up after retreiving a bag with about 30 nail varnishes in it. I have no idea how it got up there! Will deal with it on my return.
Catch up with you all on my return :wave:0 -
I found my missong Vivienne Westwood earing tidying out a 'forgotten' product cupboard! Can't find the 'not lost' one now though!!!
