Have you finished all your shampoo and things like that?

Must admit BOGOF are hard to resist: that's why I'm avoiding the M&S website.

Yes, I have- my weakness is body lotions.. I got those Nivea in BOGOF but i always end up using sesame oil ... and when I go home to Spain, toiletries are different and often cheaper, and I can not get them in the UK...so I end up buying as well. But I am now determined- this thread has given me motivation!
When we moved house a year and a half ago I ended up with a recycling bag full ful toiletries to the brim. I put in stepdaughters' room (she stays on weekends). A month later it was still there- I ended up putting the whole lot int he bin- it made me so stressed out!!! I know I shoudl have used it, but I needed a clean break.
Now it is all much more streamlined.
What I need to work on is the myriad of Biotherm samples I got- I went to use a MSE voucehr (for a face cream- lovely!) and they hadn't received them yet, but the assistant gave me tons of face, eye cream and serums :D Loved it!! I have three different perfumes on the go, depending on the day, so that are is not too much of a worry- my budget is so tight I can't really afford much, but it is Booots that always gets me!
I must admit, it really annoys me to have some many open things around me- like somebody else said, body lotions are only good if you use them!

Anyway, I have a new routine- I get up pretty early and I alsmot always end up runnign late (I catch a shuttlebus to work)- so my new thing is that I get my grooming out of hte way at night- hair, legs, etc...go to bed smelling lovely and feelign super-relaxed AND I get to give myself a good massge with Nivea body lotion...:p OH is loving it too;)

I'm working my way through my bodyshop stash, have finished off white musk shower gel but unfortunately thanks to the grabbit board  I've invested in two bodyhop sparkly eyeliners and got a free mascara thrown in all for £1.80 impossible to resist. :o Dunno whether to save these for gifts, keep them for me or ebay them for a quick profit.

  • Have had to buy some moisturiser (funny skin and clinique is the only one that suits me)but I bought it off ebay.
Managed to gift some philosophy bath and body bits to a friend from work whos just had a baby. the best before on them was last summer but they smelt ok. Another QVC "bargain" that I never got round to using.

    Afternoon All

Thought I would do a bit of diary update as I haven't posted on this thread for a while....

I still think that taking part in this thread\challenge is one of the most positive things I have done in a long time. In the last few weeks I have....

    - Binned some items that look\smell funny

    - Listed some new, unopened items on Ebay

    - Found a few much loved products at the back of cupboards and remembered why I love them all over again :T

    - Found a few hated part used products and remembered why I hate them...

    - Had lots of fun by getting my family involved in this, and we have done manicures, pedicures, face masks on each other. (and my "Foot Spa" has made a reappearance)

    - Stuck to my own self imposed rule of using my "nasty" products up during the week, and only using my nicer stuff (Soap & Glory) at a weekend.

The net result of this is, my cupboards are tidier, I know what products I have, and my products are getting used up. On top of this, my skin is beautifully smooth, pampered and moisurised and I have a newly found Body Butter addition. Lol

I have also realised that have a similar issue with cleaning products, and so I am working my way through sorting and using up these as well, and apart from needing soap powder I won't be buying any cleaning products for ages. (Shamefully I have found 12 bags of dishwasher tablets :o)

The main thing to come from all of this is, whilst I have been thinking about my beauty purchases more, plus I have also been reading (though not participating) in the No Clothes Shopping thread, I seem to completely lost my shopping mojo.

Obviously it will return, but for the moment it means I am decluttering AND saving money at the same time, plus I have never looked more groomed and pampered. :D
    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D

Have you used it before?? It's got a bit of a funny smell. It's very functional, bit like buying a bar of Lifebuoy for washing or a tin of vaseline for moisturising really! Packaging is quite dreary too. That metal tube on the hand stuff gets all scrunched up and creased really easily and if you're not careful you get this snotty-looking greenish crusty gunge all round the lid cos it's so small.

Tara. It will be on 3 for 2 again. You don't need it now, you might NEED it later so consider buying it another time.

3 for 2 is not a grabbit, sorry to be the bearer but this is a common offer- it will come around again :D

agree I found the hemp smell rather awful, I wouldn't buy it personally- its pretty distinctive!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

    Morning all!

I'm going to Boots today  but will try and be good.

    I need the following things:

    1. Tissues (Just getting over cold)
    2. Razor (Shelled out on some fancy pants one and it was mince. Venus for me!)

I'm going to get some shampoo as well as I'm down to 1 bottle of shampoo and one of conditioner and it's never BOGOF when I need it, but it is in Boots at the moment. I'm going to try and resist everything else.

How did being good equate to me spending £21???:eek::eek: Here's how:

Venus razor (I have missed these so much!) £6.79 :eek:
Blades for said razor £5.99 :eek: Both of these purchases will keep me going for at least the next 4-6 months though.
    Tissues £1.59
    "Ladies products" :D £1.50 x 2 (Reduced from £2.99 each)
    No 7 eyeshadow brush.....:o £5.75 but I got it for 75p :D

I tried to use my £5 off No7 voucher and it wouldn't scan for the eyeshadow brush. I hadn't thought it would, but felt it was worth a go. The nice young man on the till didn't see why it wouldn't go through as it wasn't a gift set/reduced item (I didn't mention it was from the reduced stand) so he put it through for me as 75p. This is going to be one of my Buy It Now things on Ebay this weekend :rotfl:

    So, £21.49 spent. Oops.

Double points coupon used though, so got 168 points, taking me to 1953 points, only 300 away from my Dandelion Powder. Trouble is that I won't need anything else from Boots for at least two months :rotfl::rotfl:
