Dear Thistledome, im so sorry the vid didnt explain going onto the second row.
This is how i do it from the beginning.....(sorry if my instructions are not very good to follow - i really need some nice pics in there)
holding both ends of the thread - one in each hand
pick up 3 beads
pick up a fourth bead with left thread and with right thread go through the right hole on the same bead (cross over)
pull tight - this should now resemble a diamond shape (with 4 beads) and both threads are now coming out of each side of the top bead.
pick up 1 bead with the right thread and 1 bead with the left thread, pick up a third bead and cross over with both threads.
repeat for the desired length of your bracelet. Now to step up onto the next row pick up 3 beads with your right thread and on your 3rd bead cross over with the left thread.
Now you should see your thread exiting from the left side of the bead.
Pick up another 3 beads on the right thread and cross over on the 3rd bead with the left thread.
Now with the left thread sew through the next left bead
With the right thread pick up 2 beads and cross over on the second bead.
when you come to the end of the row again pick up 2 beads on the left and crossover on the 2nd bead. You should now have 2 rows completed.
To add a 3rd row, pick up 3 beads on the left and crossover on the 3rd bead with the right thread.
with the right thread sew through the next right bead and pick up 2 beads with the left thread and crossover on the 2nd bead, repeat until you get to the end of the row.
i hope this explains it a little bit better,if not i am sorry please let me know and I'll try and explain it better0 -
Thank you sparklygirl71, I'll give that a try tomorrow.Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0

Hi everyone
Has anyone ever tried threading beads onto watches?
as Ive just bought some watch faces thinking I would do this but just thinking Im not sure whether tigertail wire will be strong enough? what does everyone think?
I was thinking two strands of beads with a toggle fastening
Also for those of you who make the memory wire bracelets...Ive bought some of that to make some bracelets and wondered how you finish off the ends? do you just curl the wire around to make the beads stay on?
Thanks for your help.Weekly Spend Challenge £200 -

I curl the wire round to make a hoop to keep the beads on:wave:Hi, I have a passion for crafting.......I'm always up to something :rotfl::rotfl:

Hart44 made one, she posted about it a couple of pages back (ain't it sweet?). I think she made it with elastic.
I am always a bit wary of those toggle clasps, have you used them much? I was just thinking with the weight of the watch face might it come loose a bit more often than usual?
As for the memory wire - have a look at the pics on this thread or have a look on Folksy or Etsy and search for memory wire bracelets to see how they have been finished.
You can just turn the end in a kind of loop (I do) or add a stopper bead (a bead with a hole in one end only) and glue it on, or fold the wire over in half (about 3-5mm) flush with each other, but you have to use a small bead as your last bead so they dont all come off.You can stand there and agonize........

I've had this hanging around for months literally because I've only recently bought the copper findings I needed for it. I've just finished it so I thought I'd share.
The flowers are two vintage brass ones which I've bent and stuck on top of each other so they look 3D. I've stuck a Swarovski pearl in the centre, I can't remember the name of the color, but its a beige type colour so it goes well with the copper. The beads are faceted czech glass.
As I'm looking through my photobucket account here are another couple of necklaces I made a while ago:Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
Nichelette - they're beautiful...............love the copper flower one:TI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !
