Susan ~ They are beautiful, I love them both. The thing with the bracelet is a memory wire ring, you cant really see it too well in that pic but its kinda cute.

Rusty ~ Poppy's bracelet is fab, bet you were delighted with it, the packaging makes all the difference too dont you think, very lovely.

Nic ~ My miniature Bee Teapot arrived today - many thanks it's adorable I love it.

Can't believe I am doing this but I am soo tempted by these lush creations I'd quite like to have a go.
Memory bracelets look fab & I know handbag charms catch my eye too.
What are the very basics I need?

I have various beads but all from craft sets bought in Hobbycraft so nothing fancy, classy just very basic.
    Would appreciate any pointers, thanks.

I would suggest that the very minimum you would need are:
    • round nosed pliers (about £5),
    • memory wire cutters (about £5-10),
    • memory wire,
    • packet of seed beads - to use as fillers or spacers - these are quite cheap and fill up a braceket quite quickly and cheaply,
    • larger beads of your choice, perhaps buy a mix,
Alternatively buy a memory wire kit from one of the suppiers where you get all the beads and the wire and you only need the round nosed pliers to turn the ends. One of the girls from this thread sells them on Folksy see here , that way you will see what you need and can source it yourself for future makes.

Prices...it can depend on how much you pay for your materials, sorry can't be much help in that area, I always find it hard to decide on the right price. :)

Pricing is a difficult thing, as not only are you supposed to charge for the components used, but also the time taken to make it. Especially if you want to actually make some money from it, and not upset those that actually do make and sell jewellery for a living

I usually work it out somewhere around 5x the cost materials, as this will account for my time, I don't always stick religiously to this, there is scope for movement to make a price more in line with the piece that I am selling.
