Wow! I am just back from my beginner's workshop at Bedazzle Beads.. It was very worthwhile and had such a lovely time. My co-learner was a lovely girl called Anna who was there to make her bridal jewellery. I made a set of necklace, stretch bracelet & earrings as an Easter gift for my mother in law, and since arriving home I've also completed my memory wire bracelet with some pretty beads I bought at Bedazzle. If any of you are within travelling distance of Bedazzle, I thoroughly recommend going for the workshop, it was lovely, very relaxed, and the tuition was brilliant. It does wonders for the confidence.
I'm still not quite happy with the 'balance' of my MW bracelet, so I may yet take it apart and start again, but I do love the colours and different textures together.
I bought some supplies today, tigertail (now I know what to do with it!), bead board, some pretty beads. The only thing I forgot was crimp beads - tsk! Can't do anything else until I get some of those...

Does anyone use jewellery tags? I've been using them for a few weeks now, they make my bracelets look more professional IMO.

Newleaf - I love your first makes, it does make such a difference to have tuition for your first one and your set is great. Personally I like you mem wire bracelet as it is but I have taken mine apart a few times too!

  • I`m not keeping up with this thread very well. My jewellery has been scarce recently due to getting ready for the arrival of baby in 2 weeks!!!

newleaf and kandi - some gorgeous makes there!

I`m hoping to attend a jewellery course later on in the year to learn some new techniques.

I was really pleased when my friend loved the bracelet I made for her birthday and wouldn`t actually believe I had made it at first! hehe.
