No weigh in this week and possibly next week for me - I've hit that yucky time of month and I hold so much water I weigh heavier :o

:TWell done to all those who've lost:beer:

Fingers crossed I'll have a loss to post next week too.

Weds, Thurs were not good days for me - too much comfort eating due to DH's work situation. He had a meeting at work on Thursday and now we're waiting to hear if he gets to keep his job or if the redundancy is going ahead. At first I thought that yesterday was also a bad day in terms of diet, but on second thoughts it was actually OK - I ate healthily all day apart from the bar of Dairy Milk in the evening :) The children's schools were closed yesterday due to snow so we played outside for a couple of hours, on the sledges and up/down hills.

Today's plan is porridge for breakfast, lunch will be pasta salad, spag bol for dinner plus a treat this evening - Milky Way or WW cookies. Exercise will be walking to town through the snow, 30 min round journey plus walking around town. We live at the top of a steep hill so normally get puffed out on the way back :)

I've enjoyed watching the C4 diet show this week. I might give some of the recipes a try, especially Matt Dawsons curry.

1 1/2 lbs lost this week - yippeee :) that's the Christmas weight I put on though... Still now it's gone and I hope never to return.
Going out for a long walk in the snow later - it's a beautiful day out there today.

    Thats great spinme and jessicamb,
im glad to see we are keeping the dragon busy with so many losing this month :)

I ended up in bed early last night, we ran out of gas downstairs and i was so cold i just wanted cake and custard so called it a day.
I finally got round to clearing the ice off the front steps much to my hubbies amusement, a pointless task as we are expecting snow again tonight but it was a good upper body workout.
food today is porridge, cheese spread & salad sarnie for lunch, veggie casserole for tea, baked apples for pudding.

    Have a good day all

  • Hi everyone - I haven't been able to log in for a few days and am amazed at how long the thread has become!! OK, so my first weigh in (drum roll.........) is 4 lbs loss!! Never ever been able to lose anything like that before!!

I've managed to stay really motivated and have been extra good - it helps as my OH needs to lose weight too. The main big help is that we've made loads of soup and we freeze it in big yogurt cartons so there's always something to take out. The F2 slimming plan with fibre gives some souper soup recipes and they seem to have filled me up really well during the middle of the day. Have also cut out wine during the week (big sacrifice).

So a few glasses (too many) last night and a Saturday curry today. Have worked out calories and find that a Sharwood jar of curry is really quite light on calories, so with just some chicken and careful rice portion, can still have a Saturday treat!!

I've always used the WW points principle to lose weight but I've become curious about what that equates to in calories. Today I've registered on www.caloriecount.com and so far it's been interesting to see what I've had. Breakfast (porridge) was 208 calories, lunch (pitta bread with ham/low-fat cheddar, pickle) was 251. I've got pasta bake for dinner, followed by a treat this evening, so will update later.

Is the 1200 calorie guide given on Channel 4's Big Fat Diet Program a fairly good one for weight loss? I'm 5'7", looking to lose around 1st.

Elizabeth_739 - well done on the loss :) Enjoy your curry tonight!

    Thanks,
    Nicky
