Netbook from Argos - Keys all wrong

Where is the @ printed on your keyboard?

on the 2 key with shift key

I know it is only something simple but its just getting there

Right, that means it's an American keyboard. My netbook is the same. Either you can leave it as it is and just keep pressing the keys you expect to use on a UK keyboard (and just ignore the fact that the key actually has a different symbol on it or you can set everything to US settings and then get used to using the @ and " in a different place.

That make sense?

I had same problem til my husband told me what to do.

Daughter is only 10 years old - dont want this to confuse her.

Can i take it back and state that it is an american keyboard there would like a refund or vouchers in exchange.

This is not what we expected when purchasing it.

Hubby says it's strange to get a US keyboard on a laptop/netbook in this country and he would take it back and let them know.

That said, Argos are a pain in the butt so not sure how much success you'll have. I'm afraid I don't know anything about your legal rights in this respect. Anyone?

change the settings to US and the keyboard will print what is on it or you could try go through the hassle of returning it but as it's not faulty and does the job it says on the tin you could be in for an uphill struggle.
