Hi
My daughters netbook has all the wrong key functions @ etc not working.
We are unable to find the receipt but did pay by credit card.
I would prefer to get full refund if possible. Are we entitled to this. If problems can i get the credit card company to do a charge back?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks in advance

How old is it?
What do you mean by 'all the wrong key functions'? It could just be that the settings are wrong, if so it is very simple to resolve.Gone ... or have I?0 -
How long ago did you buy it?
If an item develops a fault after use the shop can offer a repair or a refund, you have no right to a refund straight away. Obviously if it is brand new and straight out of the box then a straight exchange may be more appropriate.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. it sounds like your keyboard is set to us mode and not uk mode this is easily fixable and is not really a fault as such
a store doesnt have to offer a refund they could send it off to be repaired but as i say you can change it by going to control panel languages and changing the default

Yes this is what is is, our Dell netbook is the same. The @ is where the " is and vice versa.
Go to Start - Settings - Control Panel - Regional Settings - and then change everything to United Kington that currently says US.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member No.11.

thanks will try this - but on setting it up it did state uk settings to pick US.
Will try anyway.bargain babe0 -
After checking the settings - they do actually state UK
Except in advanced where the Language is English (united States)
Do i need to change this?
If i change it states
"The required files are already installed on you hard disk. Setup can use these existing files,or Setup can recopy them from your original windows CD ROM or from a network share.
Would you like to skip file copying and use the existing files? if you click no you will be prompted to insert your windows cd rom or to supply an alternate location where the needed files my be foundbargain babe0 -
