besides where's the proof that we have been
;) what wil they do hack all our email accounts?? (OHH yes please you may be abe to retrieve the ones i can't).
the forum rules don't like you passing on personal information thats why they get a bee in their bonnet when you offer to sell/;)/ post stuff. SORRY but if grown ups can't be responsible for their actions what is the world coming too.......... hey if they ban us all/ close the thread we'll have to go to another forum somewhere........... I'd go insane without you lot.
and can you see someone reading 147 pages of women wittering???!!! then they have to trawel the other thread!!! :rotfl::rotfl:
I bet he'll pop up ask for some comments - offer to post us all an issue free of charge in exchange for some feedback, we'll chat to him for a day then he'll vanish into the eather.
and if he tries any rough stuff........... we'll set the snake on him.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I also cant imagine we are that interesting he would stay more than a few hours lol!
My olds have rung and are putting a positive spin on things - they are in a hotel atm and the insurance assessor and plumber are coming out to see the house on Monday. He reckons they will be out for a few weeks (months more likely tbh) and my mum feels better cos most of her books are still dry! Isn't it weird what matters to us - I would be lost if my stitching stuff was drowned but not as bothered about books, dh would lose a limb rather than his books!
Sod work am stitching tonight - will try to post a piccy laterMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
Think they are trying to be positive - apparently every drawer and cupboard in the kitchen was full of water so that will probably need gutting for starters! My dad does lots of printing for churches and other organisations and the printer is in one of the two rooms not affected but all his paper supplies were under a bed in the spare room and are all sodden too
Their bedroom is fine so at least they have warm clothes or they would be stuck with the stuff they had in Tenerife, can you imagine them wandering round in the snow in crocs!

OHHHHHHHHHHHH I am soooooooooo hacked off!!!!!!!!!!!!!
we have Christmas at end of month and a baby due on 1st May and DH has just been summoned to cumbria ASAP to get measured for a suit for his sisters wedding in AUGUST!!!!!!!!
!!!!!! what planet do they live on?????
It is gonna cost a good £50-£70 for him to go up - can he not get measured here and send sizes up???? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
they honestly believe the world revolves around them. will any of them pop down here with christmas pressies (they all drive we don't) - noooo cause that would cost money!!!!
I AM FUMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hubby is now refusing to talk to me cause i asked him where he would like me to magic money from. we are short bill money this month cause he chose to spend £150 on 3 nights out in the space of 4 days 2 weeks ago and can't see the harm in it.

Just my humble opinion for what it's worth
thanks. your opinion is worth as much as anyone elses here. oh, and i didnt tell which forum, but a google search would find us and others. i'm sure there's many out there... i'm not going to look though. i like this one. it's comfy. That's a recent thing, due to so many people swopping names/addresses etc and the forum understandably doesn't want to get the blame for any trouble caused - they are covering their own backs.
I have no problems with someone from the mag coming to have a look at the thread. I did consider the nudges but since the majority are from old magazines which are now hard to come by then I think we could be forgiven eh?
Mind you - you will need to prewarn him that it would take about 6 months to traverse the thread, and there is only a small number of comments about the magazine.:rotfl:
Incidentally......I have been reading this months mag (the only delivery the postie has been able to make this week :rotfl:) should I hold off on my comments for now until he pops in?:D
Thanks Louise for the rules info. good point about them being old mags - ebay not having them and them unable to find their old copy or it being too worn is the main reason people seem to ask anyway.
ooh, i'm intrigeud as to what you think about the new one... i almost bought it in sainsburys but then found a chicken on offer and had to get veg so it sadly went back on the shelf till next week.i WILL buy it though, the stag card is Perfect for my forrester other half.:)
:rotfl:tee hee about reading all the pages... maybe they could give us a handy summary! or index!Ohh another thought - would be the first male on the thread....

:rotfl: um, i might have made a mistake, i'm dyslexic and names are one of my 'issues' - it might have been a girls name or a boys name it's one of those that is both. thinking about it it was probably a girl. oopsie.:ochickywiggle wrote: »hey if they ban us all/ close the thread we'll have to go to another forum somewhere........... yep even a die-hard stitcher would have trouble reading over all that! i joined in feb i think and have known there's been previous threads... i'm too scared to look!
Chicky - yep, we would have to move elsewhere. i also really cherish this odd friendship / support group we've got going here!:smileyhea
and, after all we are all consenting adults supporting each other in our healthy habbitl!!
OK, so i'll email in the morning with the link... first page or last?:rotfl: i'll pop back on before doing so in case anyone else wants to contribute. after they've seen this discussion they'll probably think we're all a bunch of loonies and disregard anything we have to say anyway! :rotfl:

Dora - i'm so glad your parents are able to save somethings, esp clothes and books. can't even imagine how horrid that is. they sound like chipper people. bless them.
Chicky - it's ok. you're totally justified. hopefully hubby will come around. ooh... is it a chain or department store? if so then they could just email the measurements up from a local branch. OR... try telling them "no thankyou. my husband prefers his usual taylors. just send us details and we'll go where we always go." :rotfl: small posh sounding fib anyone?Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. lol i wish. the simplist (cheapest) option would be to send measurmets up but they assume we can produce the cash for what ever they want whenever they want. they forget:
a) tis christmas in 23 days
b) we have a baby due in 21 weeks
c) we have THEIR wedding 140 miles away to TRAIN TO and PAY HOTEL for (for at least 3 nights) in August (with a 3 month old baby)
d) we have another wedding 200 miles away in November to TRAIN TO and PAY HOTEL for (for at least 3 nights).
wish he'd stand up to them for once.
they already hate me cause i refused to go up for a christening this year. baby was born - we went up a couple weeks later - they told us that day that christening was the following month and we had to go.
i told them we would but only if they gave us the £200 it was going to cost. surprusingly they didn't.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Chicky - he could say he has a nasty case of summat itchy and needs the suit sending down as he doesn't want to spread it to anyone else - am SURE they would find a way to send it then :rotfl:
My brother has the same weird problem - I go down to see him in London and he says they might get up to see us but it is hard with two children - as I'm sat there with my two having driven down on my own with them cos dh is working! Would rather he said he really can't be bothered!Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
