thanks girlies!! he came to bed tail between his legs! but also didn't mention it at all!! I shall keep you posted...... <<hugs>> to all those with awful families.
craftgranny i like your approach- we've been 'lucky' none of em have spoken to us really since the christening incident earlier this year, only when they want eh!
ohhh Elle I woulda gone absolutly mad and disowned my family if they did that.
Maria.... i bet yours would say same as my hubby the other month "how much are our bills a month.... about £500??" he almost fell off his chair when i told him to double that figure as rent alone is £550.
Mags_cat i like that philosophy.
gotta go do more shopping today (put tree up only to realise the tinsel and star have disaperated somewhere never to be refound till summer). except the paths are sheets of ice. suns out tho so hopefully it'll be a bit safer in a couple of hours.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. My ex was like that. He had the buy it now and pay later attitude. He tried to convince me that it was OK to buy a £500 bed that we couldn't afford because we could open a new bank account that gave £500 interest free overdraft for 6 months. I kept saying that we still wouldn't be able to afford it in 6 months and he looked at me like I was from another planet. All he cared about was getting what he wanted, when he wanted it. I think that since he left me he has already got himself into debt. Overall it's another reason I'm better off without him.0

update!!
Christmas Card 'Sampler' Chart from Cross Stitcher magazine 232 (maybe 231 i'll have to check).
i've done the bottom border, now to start on the backstitched lettering that's hovering nearly a grid up from there. above that is a cute scruffy robin. I'm quite nervous about the lettering - some is along the holes, some isn't. it'll be a new one on me to do that when it's not around an already stitched shape. eek!
Oh and the chart said use a piece of 14count Aida only an inch 1/2 less wide than i've got there. that'd be a whole lot of Aida wasted, wouldnt it. I'm glad I didnt start at the centre! :money:Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. i have however added all my xstitch projects to the new page there. thanks Mags Cat! looking at them all in one place made me realise i've stitched 10 things this year! and i'm working on the 11th. wow! ok, so 2 are tiney motifs and i havent even taken photos of them. but i'm dead pleased anyway.:DRelax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23.
