Thanks Mrs M. If you could point me in the right direction for the stocking I would very much appreciate it. I've got most of the 3 main magazines from the last 6 months or more so I could well have it here, I just couldn't see it with the cursory look I gave it the other night. I'm hoping to start working my way through the pile properly later as LO seems a bit better, though typically since I'm trying to cook tea she is crying on and off again.

  • hi everyone, fab to read all your little chats and see your projects :-) I am currently doing a little project (not sure why it has taken me two years lol) of two fairy looking girls (1 symbolising my oldest daughter and the other my baby daughter). Nearly finished it but have the outlining to do which always takes longer than expected. Will have to post a piccy of it. Do any of you blog about your projects? would be fab to see them all in photo form. I had a rummage in my cross stitch bag and found some old unfinished stuff and also finished projects in there and loads of patterns to keep me going for a while :-)

Also popped into a local charity shop recently and found some little projects - didn't expect to find them there. Bought myself a new ring (not sure what you call it, those wooden rings that hold your work for you) for 75p from there which I thought was a bargain. Bubbles might be worth you rummaging in charity shops for cheaper kits - it is not only fun to go searching for things like that but great when you find a hidden gem :-)

Maria, that is very kind of you. The one I'm after has both polar bears and penguins (I think they were riding an avalanche or something), I know I've seen it recently ish but I've no idea when the magazine came out. It could have been an old one in the pile or it could have been a new one that I've put in a *safe* place. If this sounds like yours and you are sure you are willing to part with it, I would love it. Obviously I would pay for the postage.

Kezia is better this evening I think, thank you. She has certainly warmed up a bit and has had normal amounts of sleep this afternoon and I finally got to eat tonight. I've wasted so much food this week as every time it was cooked she needed feeding or was crying so it went cold and horrible.

Anyway, fingers crossed she will be well enough for baby music tomorrow and when we come home I will be able to get on with some more stitching.

Hope you and your brood are all well

My vote would be for the bras. I really enjoyed stitching those. I don't know if I'll do the cakes or boots next. Too many nice kits!!! :rotfl:

I ventured from the bedroom for a while to have lunch (got soo hungry I decided to cook some oven chips), then as there was no noises, I thought I'd catch up with some CBB on the Sky+ in the living room, so sat on the sofa with my feet up just in case it started running across the living room. DH home now, so he can keep me safe! No sight of anything so far, but it was about 8pm last night when DH saw it.

Mmmm...just been fed a cappucinno wafer straw by hubby. Yummy!

Haven't got much stitching done, as the SVU was good and I ended up paying more attention to that. And I've been on the phone to my mum for a while. My Grandma is still a bit muddled-was asking again what happened to her-but likes Tewkesbury hospital as she has a nice view. :)

Supersunshine-I blog about my stitching, but I tend to post updates in here more often anyway! Here's the link if you want to take a look, though. http://stitchingbunny.blogspot.com/

Oh, and welcome  to all the new stitchers. So pleased our little group is growing and all the stitchers are sharing with us. Always love looking at what everyone else is stitching.

  • Cheers for that Ruth_honey, will have a nose to get some inspiration later :-) I have one with my recent project on it:

Hope you do get any more visits from the mouse family

By the way, if you have unwanted patterns what do you do with them, seems a shame to throw them?
