23rdspiral - I think we have the same bug! Had to put my stitching away earlier, couldn't cncentrate.
Ruth_honey - I watched it earlier, love comedy shows like that - omg at that spider clip they showed though....hubby was killing himself laughing at me cos when it jumped - so did I!:rotfl:
Off to wrap up in bed and feel sorry for myself. Hubby is getting up with the kids in the morning so I can have a nice long lie-in
Oh no! Sorry to hear you're ill too, *Louise*. Sending lemsips & hot water bottles to you & 23rdspiral (and anyone else who is feeling poorly)
That spider clip was horrible! Mum was telling me yesterday morning that she found some monster ones during a clean out earlier in the week, so I told her to watch that clip. Got a text from her last night after the show saying 'thought my spider was bigger...until they panned out with the camera...!' Imagine having ones that size in your house...:eek:23rdspiral wrote: »Thanks Ruth Honey. I appreciate it. Its really nice to be able to pop on here and feel part of the group even if there's no stitching to report!
I did watch 8 out of 10 cats, i love tim minchin! sadly he was kinda over shadowed by uri geller. oh well. (ooh, i think i stood next to Tim watching the Wurzles from backstage at Glastonbury this year, but i didnt like to ask, or stare too much!)
looking forward to seeing the Meery Xmas kit. congrats on finisihing it! :T
hi Louise, oh no! I hope you're feeling a better today? I didnt sleep well, but managed a lie in (no one around to make me get up!). I feel a little better (2 episodes of sexin the city & some stitching this morning), but arent sure i'm well enough to go galervanting around the country!
Yeah, Uri Geller was very odd & kinda took over the show with his weirdness. He would not shut up! The actual filming was so much longer. We ended up on almost the last tube home it went on so late. Tim Minchin was good, though. He has the most lovely eyes.
Going out for a carvery soon, so will post the Meerkat pic later.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Hi ladies have finally finished one of my wip. Was away from the computer for a couple of weeks so it's amazing what gets finished off :rotfl:.
This is where I was upto
And now finished. It's not a cross stitch that I particularly like but a friend asked me to do it for her about a year ago so hopefully she will be pleased with it.
Loving everybodies makes. The next project to tackle will be the nearly finished cat one. Shall I turn my computer off for the next couple of weeks :rotfl:0 -
Hi Girls,
I am home.
Feeling quite tired - kitten behaved itself at my parents except for ending on top of the wardrobe. It was a very good trip - we had dry weather all the time. It was nice spending time with hubby.
Didn't do as much stitching while I was away.
Been catching up on all your posts. Lovely work and great examples of all of us being good mates on here - looking out for each other.
Got the new cross stitcher in and yes, I am a little disappointed in it but can't give up on it - been a collector since issue 1. I was dis
appointed when they started putting colour in charts. I guess I keep the mag going as my late hubby bought be the subscription years ago and it comes out as a direct debit he set up for me.
So sorry to hear about your holiday money Ruth - it is disappointing. Been looking at our bank accounts - only have £20 to last us till wages go in on Friday.
Well better sort out washing and think what food we have to make - beans and toast I think lol.
Kind wishes to all

Hi,
Not been here for a while, also having a bit of a time at the moment, the cross stitch has kept me sane.
I will post pictures soon, but I have the turtle dove, french hen and calling bird complete and the partridge is 1/3 done.
DD loves coming downstairs in the morning to see what I've done - I get more done at night when she's gone to bed, however, if I get 5 minutes during the day she does like to pull the needle through.Proud to be dealing with my debts

I finally seem to be getting back on track with my stitching. I had to unpick a whole area of my birth sampler which took me over 2 hours one night. I then had a couple of nights off as my medication changed and I was too tired to see properly. I managed a few hours last night and am seeing progress again. When I am able to stitch I find it is really theraputic but can't always sit for very long to get significant amounts done as my pain levels are still not uncontrol really. Hoping this new medication will work quickly and I can use the final 8 weeks of the pregnancy productively as it unlikely I'll have much time for a few months after baby is born. I try and get a progress photo of all my pieces on in the next day or so, means borrowing hubbies computer and camera.
I've also just bought 2 new kits of a black labrador (for us) and a miniature Schnauzer (for a good friend) and still trying to make a decision on the birth sampler for another friend for March when her 3rd child (and final) is born so I can put all 3 children on there, I think it is between this and this. She is a huge Beatrix Potter fan and I'm thinking I'll be able to reduce the size of the text and get details of 3 children in the space. Thoughts ladies, easy enough to do?
I think I'm going to get a pen aswell to try and prevent the same problem I had with mistakes. I'm sure I'll still make some but at least they will be noticed quicker.
Its so lovely to see the progress on others pieces, some of you are ploughing through the pieces and they all look amazing. Well done everyone.0 -
Morning all,
welshlassie the second link doesn't work but I like the first one.
You have all been very busy. Am afraid I have done very little this week as we have had a review at work so have been really busy. Am determined to try and fit more time for me this week though. My new approach to my ironing pile is "would I put this in the ironing pile if I were paying for it? ". Have decided that some things which I wear around the house that no-one sees can do without! So that should leave more stitching and knitting time
new look cross stitcher I love it! think it will inspire me to make things that don't need to be framed as I have just spent £70 at the framers and while they look beautiful (will post pics later when it gets a bit lighter) I feel a bit ripped off. I also love sewing so am itching to get started on the free kit and lots of Christmas items.
nudge have never asked for a nudge before but if someone could possibly nudge me the cushion pattern from issue 222 from the above I would be very grateful.
I am well and truly hooked on knitting and have bought 2 pattern books but am having a good read through before I go back and choose the wool just to make sure I can manage a project bigger than a scarf:rotfl:
better get up and at em! Happy stitchingxxCross Stitch Challenge Member ?Number 2013 challenge = to complete rest of millenium sampler.0 -
