I came back from holiday to both Cross Stitcher and World of Cross Stitching. :j
I don't like the look of the new Cross Stitcher (the front cover) and my initial glances of the inside put me off but now that I have had a proper look, actually its alright. I too get this on subscription and have done so for many years and whilst the other mags have always been a bit hit and miss (I used to subscribe to Cross Stitch Crazy/Cross Stitch Card Shop/World of Cross Stitching and Quick and Easy Cross Stitch at one point !), Cross Stitcher always maintained that high level that justified keeping the subscription. I do like the Margaret Sherry designs in this issueparticularly the little cards that have been made.
Despite being on holiday, I didn't manage any cross stitching.I did though take a few kits away with me and brought them all back ! I also found the wedding sampler Im doing for my friend - I don't know whether to restart as the back isn't as neat as I would like? What do you suggest ?

No one looks at the back... If it's too messy for your liking iron a bit of wondaweb stuff on the back to hide it0

Hi everyone,
I plumped for the butterflies in the end, made a start on it last weekend after it arrived super quick from ebay
Hopefully the picture link will work.

Still lurking but not been stitching - dd had her 9th birthday party in the house yesterday a wii party so we had 16 children round to wreck the place. She had a whale of a time and some of our friends helped out by making wii controller biscuits and fabric wii mii's for them to decorate, have only just finished sorting the house out!
Job is keeping me very busy too, which is good but very tiring and dh's new job means he is on weird shifts so I end up doing bedtime 3 or 4 nights a week before starting school work again!
Have got another stitching day lined up for saturday so am saving it all up for then.
Hope everyone who has been feeling under the weather is feeling better and well done on all the stitching :TMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

If you are going to frame it I would leave it as it is because it won't be seen by anyone. If you are giving it unframed for your friend to frame then maybe do as TMIF suggests and back it with wonderweb or felt.
I am nearing the end of my design. This week I got the wording done and today I started the border. Will post a pic tomorrow if I remember
No idea which kit to do next. After my recent spate of ebay buying I have quite a few to choose from.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

^^No, not really
I couldn't even force myself off the couch to cook Sunday dinner this afternoon...so instead of roast chicken and the works, OH rustled up garlic bread and pizza for him and the kids while I dozed on and off for a few hours:o (kids were happy with that though)
However, after hubby forced some cough syrup and halls soothers on me I felt a little better this evening and picked up my stitching while we watched the Da Vinci code.
Another couple of doses and hopefully I shall make the school run with the kids in the morning!!Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Charlie, the squirrel looks great. I love his fluffy tail
I like his paws too...I must admit I am quite fussy about details like paws/hands and faces looking realistic. The amount of kits I have been put off from buying because they don't look right (to me) is ridiculous
I have just taken an update pic but can't post it as I took it on my new phone (we got a great deal each on those new Orange SanFrancisco phones) and don't have the drivers installed yet. Will ask hubby to install them tonight.....I tried to do it but can't figure it out :rotfl::heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
