I
I did however do this one this month.
I love this design - I have my eye on to do it some point in the future - seen it the magazine - could use any colour for background.tellmeitsfriday wrote: »Bah, that's annoying... I get Cross Stitcher.
If anyone found that they had this mag, and that it just happened to open to this page and jump into their scanner and turn itself into an email file(;)) well you know who wants it!! (Please)
Well it doesn't hurt to ask does it
I think it will look fab as a cushion xx
I might like a weefor it too - my list of what to do is growing.
Sorry I have not been on for ages - have been watching tho. Husband is having a real bad time and I have been doing my best to support him. Also I have been so very tired - come home Friday after work and nearly sleep all the time till Monday morning (think this is due to my diabetes). Have been some stiching little and often.
First the American 50th Anniversery stitch - this has to be done by 1 October so it gets there in time - also thinking ideas of a wee hamper of Scottish stuff to send - oatcakes, teacakes, etc.
I have also made a start on my Parents 40th Anniversery stitch - it is a week on Tuesday , so better get cracking. I am also making them a meal to take to them - they won't leave the house for a meal so me and my siblings are making one.
I have been doing some family history research as part of their present too - have done 5 generations - came across where I got my name from and also found that register doesn't contain some of the information I require - says on register - not known for some parents and the old writing is very difficult to read.
Oh well - hubby will be awake soon (was on night shift last night and tonight) and we have to go to shops.
Hope everyone is well - I miss you all. Kind wishes to all

Please forgive me if you think me being rude but have you ever used this site http://www.across-town-stitching.talktalk.net/index.html for your threads and fabric?
Threads alone on acrosstown are much cheaper than from sew&sew and postage costs are very reasonable.
Acrosstown comes highly recommended on this thread as their customer service is fantastic.
No, not at all. I ordered some metallic threads off e-bay which turned out to be from acrosstown - I had forgotten about them so will look at them next time I need some threads !! thank you :j:D:j0 -
Have got another couple of colours finished, so I'm in the final stretch, it's just the last quarter or so of this that's pretty hard-going, so it's slow progress but it will be finished in time for Christmas. Have also got 4 smaller kits I picked up from Poundland to work on afterwards.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.

I've got the Lottie bookmark (HC2000 Lottie Bookmark) kit that i have started (done the turtle and a bit of the doll).
I think i have made a mistake on the tiny bit of doll - 1 stitch out - i've done (plus a terrible pretend french knot) but if you think you'd like to finish it off you are more then welcome as I'm not enjoying it at all.
The backstitch is all over part squares but the aida is sooo small (15ct white aida according to the site......... more like 2300ct cream aida!!!) you can't do this easily.
Also reallly flimsy aida not 'tough'.
If anyone thinks they would like to tackle it please shout and I'll post the kit out to you. FREEloves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
I too love the sparkly material, where did you get it from? I have used hand dyed before and one with some gold flecks in which felt a little rougher.
Louise I saw this and thought of you.
Will post properly tomorrow.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

Oooh, I just bought that Meerkat kit from Across Town Stitching! Couldn't resist it.
I've stitched on sparkly fabric quite often and loved the effect it gives. It is slightly firmer than some aida/evenweave, but certainly not difficult to stitch with. Looks great on Christmassy things and certain wedding designs.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Your cross stitch is coming along slowly but steadily, but, even if you miss the dates I'm sure people wont mind. Having a meal bought around sounds fab :T
My bro and niece are also doing family history, you can get quite carried away with it, with all the different branches going here there and everywhere!0
