Good morning everyone!
Big hello to Soulie (just in case you need an 11th post before you can post piccies.) Welcome to my favourite place on MSE. It's fab on here.
Also a big hello to Catchooky, how jolly ignorant of me, I never said hello earlier! Glad you found the frogs, it looks very cute.
OMG Louise, I hope your summer breeze is OK. I'd be horrified if it was my picture, fingers crossed for you.
Right ladies, I have a question. It's probably a REALLY stupid question but i need to ask. All the kits that I have ever done have needed some backstitch, but there doesn't seem to be any at all on my Nightmare before Christmas picture (not that I'm anywhere close to that bit yet :rotfl:). I've gone through the instructions inside out and upside down and there is no mention at all! I'm just wondering if you guys have ever done a big picture that has had no backstitch at all, is it common? I've even emailed the designer of the kit to check I haven't got a page missing! The picture on the front of the kit is only small so I can't tell from that either. I'm thoroughly puzzled.
Sorry if i've waffled!:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0 -

how strange! sure it is supposed to be like that. the "bang on the door" pictures don't have backstitch but you place a line of black cross stitch in its place.... iyswim.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Thanks Chicky,
That is what I've been wondering, but I'm being a bit thick and can't tell! I'm stitching on black and it's like greys and browns round the white not black like the bang on the door. I probably need to wait til I've done more to get the best idea but I'm impatient :rotfl:
I've emailed the designer (cos their email address was on the kit), hopefully they will humour me and send me a reply.:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0 -

Thanks Maria, seeing one without backstitch has made me feel better. As long as they do actually exist then I'm probably worrying over nothing. Plus, love those flowers! They looks amazing on black :T.:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0
