I agree, a shame the site is closing down but bargains for us so can't complain.

Could you measure a size 26 for me please? Maybe the length of the needle and the size of the eye? Then I can compare against what I already have and I will most likely find I already have a size 26.

As for the shelves no, not much to do after this section. Some backstitching though there isn't much but I have a little unpicking and restitching to do. The knob on the top of the coffee pot is too far to the left by only 1 square and because I know it's wrong I think it will have to be fixed...lol

Oh no - don't unpick a huge chunk for the sake of one little stitch... Adapt and modify... It means it's unique then :o

Glad to know that you all got some stuff from the Wimblebees sale.

I did succumb to a HAED - I bought Witches & Crones, which is a sort of rural American Halloween scene with small kids in fancy dress.

I also bought the chart for Queen of Hearts by Mystic Stitch. Total price inc postage - £14.26

When will I find the time to stitch them though - that is the problem.

Anyway, my July challenge is to finish my zebra UFO. Am at work now so will post update later.

Big Zen hugs to all who want/need them.

If one stitch was wrong I probably would leave it but the whole knob on the lid is over to the left by 1 square :o
To be honest it probably wouldn't be noticed by anyone else but because I know it's wrong it stands out a mile to me.

Here is a close up of what I mean...

I have plenty of the blues left over so it's no problem to move it over.

I suppose it's only a little bit to unpick, and won't take too long... I hate it when that happens, nearly as much as when you run out of thread one or two half stitches before the end of a big chunk of colour!

Now - I must resist from adding any more to my Wimblebees basket - already have a nice new floor stand (cat broke my last one), a huge stash of fabric and some bits and bobs in my basket... but it's 50% off, and well a girl loves a bargain!

Very sad that's it's closing though - always had good service :(

Right on I go with cats number 20 and 21... I may treat myself and do the mouse soon :) xxx

I always leave at least (at least!) one mistake in all my cross stitches. I think it's Islam that has a saying that "Only God is perfect". Everything man made therefore must have one tiny flaw - often deliberate. Those huge intricate mosaic floors you often see in middle eastern buildings - they've all got a mistake too.

So if it's not going to be noticed by your viewers, I'd leave it :D

    Hi all

can I ask how you are all getting Wimblebees stuff half price?

I can see on the home page it says half price or better bit everything I can see is only a few pence off.... e.g. HEAD Gluttony 17.45 down to 16.58. Not my idea of a bargain.

    Am I doing something wrong???

When you log in (or set yourself up as a user) and go to basket to pay it calculates the total cost and takes off 50% discount there...

If your total basket before discount is £50+ you don't pay delivery either

Thanks, got it now. Was on the home page right under my nose if I hadn't been in such a hurry to look at the designs.

I've now got a basket full but it is still showing delivery of 1.95. Trying to convince myself I don't actually need any of it as I'll have to live till I'm 100 to do all the ones I have already. And I can't afford it.... but it's such a bargain.

Someone make up my mind for me....
