Hi everyone, Sorry that I havent been on much, they have put me on some new drugs and I constantly feel sick. Only time I dont is when I am lying down! Its taking me forever to write this as everytime I feel barfing is seconds away I have to put the computer down and lie flat until it passes.

Well as I said the angel is finished. And I feel so proud, started her on the 2nd March s did well. Still not sure about the white parts down the dress and I changed a couple of things, like dark red all around her foot so it stands out. I am really impressed with the back of her aswell so have taken a photo, its the neatest I have ever done as I have never cared about the back before. Becase I started when I was 6 and taught myself I probably do most of it wrong and until I read it in a mag never realised the back is supposed to be neat! Im also impressed with some experimenting I did, I gave her eyelashes!!

    Anyway here she is:

    P1010252.jpg

    P1010263.jpg

    P1010251.jpg

Copying off Louise, the dog kept sitting on it and seeing as I dont have a child he is showing you the size in perspective!

    P1010249.jpg

    And the back

    P1010265.jpg

I have made a start on the treble clef I was donated from here but it is my dads birthday so have been stitching lots of pints of beer! Will post progress up tomorrow. Its hard stitching lying down!

Anyway hope everyone else is well, I know I missed posting the challange list up at the weekend but will make sure it gets posted up this sunday.

wow bubbles she is fantastic, and your pup looks so proud sitting there as if to say ''look what i helped mummy with '':D and wow how well you have done going out, your doing fantastic and like others have said we are so proud of you :j:j:j

wow I have loads of people to reply to so sorry if I forget anyone! Im not feeling as sick today thank god but just seen CPN and they are going to take me off the drug thats making me sick and put me on lithium so got to have fasting blood tests at 8.50 on tuesday. uurgh.

Louise he kept sitting on it while I was trying to take the photos so took a leaf out of your book! The beading was a nightmare, luckily I decided to start doing it in stages but there were still times when I felt like throwing it out the window. I kept dropping beads which you would find when picking up the dogs mess!!

:T :T :T WOW! Bubbles, she is beautiful. (and huge! :D) adding the red around adding foot has really helped show it's not just part of the dress. and her face looks lovely, so you experimented well i think! i'm not really one for angles and the like to be honest, but there's something quite magical about her. she really does just ooze love and warmth. that's something special. your mum will be so very pleased i'm sure. :A :A :A

i've had a bad head all week, a migrane that never quite came so never quite went away if that makes any sense. had to call in sick today i just couldnt face the drive or sitting there all day in pain staring at a screen not being appreciated. the washing is pilling up. i just want to sleep all the time. but i did manage to put the little kosheki doll in a small wooden ikea frame. i now understand why you all pay framers... even a little thing a few inches wide was a nightmare and i'm not happy as she's a little wonkey. still, at least i cant spill my tea on her now.

Yeah I wasn't sure what to do about the foot, I thought outlining it in red might make it look odd and not fit in but glad I did it now as I think it looks much nicer. Thanks for what you said about her being magical, it really means a lot. I think its going to be quite emotional when my mum actually sees it. The fact its angel of the new dawn and my breakdown and everything it just signafies alot.

Sorry to hear about your migraine that is but yet isnt! It does make sense. Staring at a screen would only make it worse so I think you did the right thing phoning in sick, hope it gets better for the weekend.
Well done Bubbles your fairy is beautiful :T and I love your dog. The only thing is if your dog is tiny then your stitching is a fair big size but if your dog is a great dane then your stitching is HUGE:rotfl::rotfl:

If your sending in to the letters page then no, no phone number needed but I think you may want to send yours to the tell us your story bit ?? In that case they probably will want to speak to you but if you explain your situation I'm sure that they will do it all via email. I have spoken to Hannah and Elinor via email a few times in the past and they are lovely.

Haha he is a full grown Chihuahua so the angel isnt that huge, god imagine how long it would have took if he was a great dane!!!! And never mind the cost of the huge material! The dog is 15 inches long if that puts things more in perspective.

It was the tell us your story bit I was thinking of sending it in to, to b honest I could do with something more to stitch because after I have done my treble clef all I have is card kits so telling my story and how the angel helped me could help with that. And also as I noticed on here a lot of people who stitch have depression/bi polar so talking of my experience with a nervous breakdown and bipolar might help someone. It could also be a chance to publically thank my mum for everything she has done since my breakdown, getting diagnosed with bipolar took months and months and she had to put up with alot. I dont tell her much in person so I think her reading it would be special. Do you just write what you want to say and then they edit it as they want?
I've been lurking the past few days, hadnt really felt like posting. But seeing Bubbles post i had to comment. Yea the angel is good, but that not what i'm commenting on its that you went to somewhere so "scary", thats amazing. I dunno how you did it, if i get that panic attack feeling i feel like i have to leave. It brilliant that you made the steps to go- and the fact you stayed out for the whole show, is even better.

The way i have to look at things when i go out is "if i dont like it i can turn back" - its somthing that has helped me in the past.

Spotty butterfly, sorry that I still havent replied to yor pm. Going to the show last wednesday took a lot out of me and for a week I barely even spoke to people I live with. Its only really today when I have started to feel better. I am so impressed that I managed to do it, especially as I had a panic attack 2 minutes from my house the day before. Really though, my friend was a life saver and dealt with me the perfect way. I didnt hang around to see my ex friend as felt drained and as we had a big falling out last time he was in newcastle I couldnt face seeing him. Just being there was challenging enough. Im ashamed to say though that I havent left the house since. Im still one step close to us meeting spotty butterfly!

Shelly I love your design but I preferred the floating tea cups! haha reminded me of beauty and the beast!

Keiss sorry to hear about your friend but glad they got a dog send off. It is boiling hot today, I havent managed to go out but am sweltering inside! I wouldnt have the patience to do something as large as the astronomer so you have my admiraton.

Awesome thank you for your kind comments, and I know it sounds corny but I dont think I would have made as much progress, stitching and emotionally, if it wasnt for people on here.

Since I finished the Angel I had been working on things for my dad whose birthday is today so here is what I have made (the keyring and coaster are two sided so shown twice and the big blue thing is a t shirt cross stitched)
