Hi everyone, Sorry that I havent been on much, they have put me on some new drugs and I constantly feel sick. Only time I dont is when I am lying down! Its taking me forever to write this as everytime I feel barfing is seconds away I have to put the computer down and lie flat until it passes.

Well as I said the angel is finished. And I feel so proud, started her on the 2nd March s did well. Still not sure about the white parts down the dress and I changed a couple of things, like dark red all around her foot so it stands out. I am really impressed with the back of her aswell so have taken a photo, its the neatest I have ever done as I have never cared about the back before. Becase I started when I was 6 and taught myself I probably do most of it wrong and until I read it in a mag never realised the back is supposed to be neat! Im also impressed with some experimenting I did, I gave her eyelashes!!

    Anyway here she is:

Copying off Louise, the dog kept sitting on it and seeing as I dont have a child he is showing you the size in perspective!

    P1010249.jpg

    And the back

    P1010265.jpg

I have made a start on the treble clef I was donated from here but it is my dads birthday so have been stitching lots of pints of beer! Will post progress up tomorrow. Its hard stitching lying down!

Anyway hope everyone else is well, I know I missed posting the challange list up at the weekend but will make sure it gets posted up this sunday.

Thanks sweet carer. I still cant quite believe she is finished, although I have other stitching I feel lost without her. To think when I strted I thought there was no chance it would be finished by my mums birthday on the 12th June. She is dyeing to see it finished but we have hidden it - we just need to decide whether to try framing it ourselves now. The encouragement I got on here really helped, I found myself doing more at the end of the week because of posting up my progress for the challange!

Apart from stitching, I had a big breakthrough last week. The celeb I used to be friends with was in Newcastle and gave me free tickets to his show, I umhed and ahhed about whether or nt to go, beingh in a room with thousands of people is my worst nightmare despite being something that was practically a daily part of my life before. The day before I went down my front street with my dad but walked back alone and I had a massive panic attack and thought I was going to pass out so had to get my mum to come get me. Anyway a school friend talked me into going and I was seated in the vip area so not many people squashed together and I did have a few tears and panics but was overall proud of myself.

About writing into magazines, I was thinking of writing to WOXS about the angel and how it helped me and how it symbolises a new dawn but I wondered, do they phone you or anything? I get scared talking on the phone and find emails much easier, just I have a friend who sold something to a ladys mag years ago and they talked the story through with her over the phone.

The angel looks FANTASTIC, Bubbles! :T
As for writing to the magazine, I think it's a great idea & it will be a nice feeling seeing your name in print. If you don't give them your phone number, they can't call you. Good luck!

Has anyone ever used or even heard of www.chinacrossstitch.com I have absolutely no connection with them, just came across the site by accident. I know the prices seem to good to be true but it is seriously tempting......:undecided

Has anyone got the chart from the Dimensions Regal Tiger? I'd love to stitch it for my husband but the kit is quite expensive.

Bubbles Wow! So much work has gone into the Angel. You should be extremely proud of yourself - it is really lovely.:T

    PP

Ha!! I knew there had to be a catch - postage to UK is $42.00!!!!!

I havent heard of them before but the lack of grammar, and misuse of words would put me off them straight away. The site seems amature which to me means the products are probably cheap copies.
