did make about £50 in sales tho so justifiable.
If you made £50 you are excused for spending some of it
I noticed you mention stitch unpickers a few days ago and was going to ask you about them but I couldn't word my query right so I'll try again
Do you use them actually rip the stitches out completely or are you careful to save the thread? (when cross stitching, not general clothes repairs)
I have never thought about getting one for when my cross stitching goes wrong, I just usually unpick my mistakes with the needle I am sewing with.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

i normally rip the whole lot out. If i notice the mistake as i go along i will unpick with my needle (backtrack) but if I'd done about loads more rows/ rethreaded needled a few times then the whole row got ripped out and binned.
these are very good ones (don't know quality yet) from here turned up today so super quick postage.23rdspiral wrote: »chickywiggle - bravo on your ebay sales! (can i ask what you sell?)
just house stuff i'm done with. this weekend was some teaching books and some oversize (big) books (the type you read to your class).loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Hya all, wonderful sewing being produced here! Love the house Louise!
Great news...I have finished the first page of the Astronomer!! :j
Here is where I was at the end of April, and here is where I am today.
Really pleased, though it took ages, lots of different colours in single stitches...aaargh! So, one page down...only 44 to go!!
I got lots more stitching done today than I planned, as our dog (a LARGE golden retriever), stood on my crushed toe...TWICE :eek:. I have been unable to wear anything other than my slippers, so no shoppping, walking or gardening done today...but lots of stitching instead!!
Found there are a couple of holes in the evenweave where I next plan to do some stitching. So I will have to sort that before gettting out the next page. Going for the space to the left of what I have done, with more of the telescope. I have had enough of yellows and browns for a while!
Must go and close the greenhouse as it is getting cooler now, though still 15 degrees outside!! It reached over 20 degrees at it's warmest today...perhaps summer is on its way??
I wonder if I will get half-way through the second page before the end of the month? Not so sure, but I will give it a go!
