:T :T :T WOW! Bubbles, she is beautiful. (and huge!
) adding the red around adding foot has really helped show it's not just part of the dress. and her face looks lovely, so you experimented well i think! i'm not really one for angles and the like to be honest, but there's something quite magical about her. she really does just ooze love and warmth. that's something special. your mum will be so very pleased i'm sure. :A :A :A
i've had a bad head all week, a migrane that never quite came so never quite went away if that makes any sense. had to call in sick today i just couldnt face the drive or sitting there all day in pain staring at a screen not being appreciated. the washing is pilling up. i just want to sleep all the time. but i did manage to put the little kosheki doll in a small wooden ikea frame. i now understand why you all pay framers... even a little thing a few inches wide was a nightmare and i'm not happy as she's a little wonkey. still, at least i cant spill my tea on her now.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. About writing into magazines, I was thinking of writing to WOXS about the angel and how it helped me and how it symbolises a new dawn but I wondered, do they phone you or anything? I get scared talking on the phone and find emails much easier, just I have a friend who sold something to a ladys mag years ago and they talked the story through with her over the phone.
If your sending in to the letters page then no, no phone number needed but I think you may want to send yours to the tell us your story bit ?? In that case they probably will want to speak to you but if you explain your situation I'm sure that they will do it all via email. I have spoken to Hannah and Elinor via email a few times in the past and they are lovely.

I've been lurking the past few days, hadnt really felt like posting. But seeing Bubbles post i had to comment. Yea the angel is good, but that not what i'm commenting on its that you went to somewhere so "scary", thats amazing. I dunno how you did it, if i get that panic attack feeling i feel like i have to leave. It brilliant that you made the steps to go- and the fact you stayed out for the whole show, is even better.
The way i have to look at things when i go out is "if i dont like it i can turn back" - its somthing that has helped me in the past.Bubbles911 wrote: »
Apart from stitching, I had a big breakthrough last week. The celeb I used to be friends with was in Newcastle and gave me free tickets to his show, I umhed and ahhed about whether or nt to go, beingh in a room with thousands of people is my worst nightmare despite being something that was practically a daily part of my life before. The day before I went down my front street with my dad but walked back alone and I had a massive panic attack and thought I was going to pass out so had to get my mum to come get me. Anyway a school friend talked me into going and I was seated in the vip area so not many people squashed together and I did have a few tears and panics but was overall proud of myself.

Well done Bubbles, she's lovely. I thought her foot looked ok without the dark red outlining but now you have outlined it, it looks better.
Here's my weekly update, the teacups on the top shelf aren't floating now:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

It truly is we have probably passed each other !
Well I hope to get some more stitching done today as DD is away on her school trip and DS2 is having lunch at school so I won't need to stop doing the housework to sort lunch and stuff so that will be finnished early :T
Update day 2 of the bowler.
Shelly love your update. I'm really loving the colours it would look lovely in my kitchen!
Bubbles I too was distracted. Well done! I could never manage that at the moment it takes me all my time to take my wheely bin out to the front of the house. You should be really proud of yourself.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Bubbles, your angel is wonderful, and much bigger than I imagined, well done :T:T You really sew quite quickly...I am definitely the tortoise on here...but I am plodding away with the Astronomer, better now as I am sewing bigger blocks of colour atm. I will post my progress on Sunday.
Went to my friend's funeral this morning. A lovely service, her friends seemed to be much more upset than her family though, but that's a story which I won't go into.
Not really feeling like doing very much this afternoon...far too hot to work in the garden - 26 degrees C atm!! So I might just sit down and get some sewing done and think fondly of my good friend.
Enjoy the SCORCHER this weekend!
PS Glad you enjoyed your trip out Bubbles, well done you! :T:T

Bubbles That angel is gorgeous! I think the added extras and improvising you did worked out perfectly. I also love the size comparison with your dog....he is very cute
I think its a good idea to write into a magazine about it.
And well done for going to that show! It was an extremely brave thing to do and you must feel so proud of yourself for accomplishing it. It must have taken so much courage and will power, I really admire that xxx
Funfairprincess I also laughed at the trouser comment on your bowlerits looking good, and yay i knew it must be you! lol and i looked at the photo...well done!!
