Hi all, hope everyone's stitching is progressing nicely
All those with HAE designs - just keep thinking of the end result:j Keep posting updates so we can cheer you on.:T
Confetti stitching is a nightmare, whih is why I jump to another section which needs that colour instead of rethreading the needle and continuing in the same square - I would rather use it up than rethread.
Emzy - correct me if I am wrong but you are doing the seven hearts design aren't you? Could I ask how many stitches HxW it is please? It is a design I love and am tempted to try it myself but want to work out how long it would take. If it's not you then apologies - blonde moment lol :rotfl:
Simac - Good luck with that little list you have got for yourself!! I am looking forward to seeing this 'Nightmare before christmas' taking shape:D
I haven't done any stitching today, been out for a meal with hubby, kids and his parents (his Dad's 65th birthday) and have decided to make some cards instead of working on the afghan tonight.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Enlarged my J for the big quilt - so will order some threads later - someone on ebay is selling 25 4m bobbins for £5, I will order them nearer end of week after we see what is happening with the donations - I am happy to contribute if need be.
So here is week 7 - not as much done as I wanted.
Kind wishes to all

You know, it really looks a lot bigger than that!!

"No 8 Mrs M Cawber to finish golden earths face and stop making her look like she has alopecia" :rotfl:-couldn't have put it better ..
Morning all -
Some lovely looking work going on again everyone :T
"hopefully" I will be able to get back into my x-stitching this week -the dawgy we were "dawgy sitting" should have gone home yesterday ..but no-one came for her , so I assume they will come and get her today at some point and then I can settle -no getting up to let her out, let her in, let her out again -I swear we could do with a revolvong door when she is here
Im about to "sin again" and make some purchases from the HAE site(there is 25% off their charts until the 9th I think-not that Im trying to lead anyone into temptation).... Im picking some to get done for my niecypoo -my mum is going to be doing 1 for her too -so after I have talked with mum later I will get them ordered. Im hoping to get golden earth done first mind -but it depends how close to xmas we get.
Anyway I had better get off and get something done...have a great day everyone-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -

Mrsmcawber, the aloepecia comment doesnt really fit now as she has half a lovely head of hair but I thought it was funny so left it in.
I still having got a may target myself yet. Going to finish the angel then decide.
Here is my update, Im having a big of a disaster though and the majority of the stitching on the second photo needs to be unpicked as I dropped 2 stitches. Was tempted to try and work around it but it might make the border lopsided at the top.
Does anyone know the cheapest place to get coasters? I want to make one for my dads birthday and some for peoples birthdays but I can only find them for £2 each which seems a bit excessive. Any reccomedations? I have seen some cute little gift bags which you stitch on for £2 so hopefully if Im working before christmas I can stitch everyone one of them and they can have a personalised coaster and bookmark and anything else I can think of inside. I have never made a bookmark before, what do you use to back them? I know in a mag it reccomended iron on interfacing or adhesive felt but I cant really afford to buy these, especially for the little bit I need.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

You can get them for less than £1 each on ebay if you buy them at the same time
Example:

As for the bookmarks, iron on interfacing is good to cover up the back of the stitching for a better finish. Some people have laminated them. I tested that last year, it laminated quite well lol.
Interfacing isn't expensive, £1.60 can get you enough to cover loads of bookmarks
