Sooo tempted to start 'Touched by Magic'.....(HAED)

The afghan just isn't keeping me focused. I will finish it for the challenge but need something else to do as well.

I think I will get the sheets organised and number up the thread cards...just so I know what I need....;)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
Thanks Louise, I was going to ask about bookmark interface myself! The kit came with a piece of felt, but I didn’t fancy sewing it on. That’s saved me a fiddly horrible job :T

Bubbles / Shelly, I’ve ordered a pack of the interface that Louise recommended. There is way more than I need for my bookmark, if you like I can send you some? Just PM me your address and when it arrives I’ll cut it into 3 pieces and stick some in the post for you. I think I’ve ordered 1ME x 90CM and I only need the tiniest little piece :rotfl:, even after sending you both some out I’ll probably have enough to last me a lifetime!!!
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

    Hey everyone :)

Lelc Well done on finishing it :T I also read that washing it helps pull the aida back tight, so fingers crossed that works :)

Louise Yep you're right ive got the seven hearts design and hardly done anything on it lol :o finding the confetti so difficult, my own fault though i probably shouldn't have started with that design, should have done a few smaller ones first.
Its says the stitches are 400W and 505H hope this helps?
Oh and just had to go and see what 'touched by magic' looks like... it looks lovely I can see why you're struggling to hold off doing it :D looks very hard too though but im sure you'll whiz through it you're great at them :)

I think it was MrsM That pointed out the haed sale.....naughty!!! found one that I like, my OH really likes it too and its a QS so may only take me a year :rotfl: its called in love so I think im going to go and buy that in a second :D:o my birthday money is just getting spent on cross stitch...its great :j lol

Spottybutterfly I use the plastic clip frames (like the lap tray but not a lap tray...if that makes sense :D) and I really like working with them. Ive also got the stand that Simac linked to.

Simac Ive recently just got one of those stands in the link http://www.siestaframes.com/acatalog/info_SPO_D53035.html
and have the lamp and chart holder that goes with it. I have hardly used it yet though but the lamp bit and chart holder are great lol! I use those even when im not actually using the stand to hold my work if you get what I mean? But I am thinking about selling the stand part and buying the metal one as I think the way it holds the frames would be much better, I too don't like hold it just lies on the two arms, I need it more secure

Peoples advice please :).........thread cards...if i get a hole punch (mine has vanished) and punch some holes in a piece of card will the be ok to use? Or will the holes be too small?

MrsM Those faces do look nice, make you smile when you look at them, they will make her apartment look great, its a really nice idea. And yep you're right at least it was a sale :) Ive just bought it and looked through and I only need to buy 30 threads for it too :j Ill probably have no threads left afterwards though lol :D

    That's what I always do :T

For a project which I know will take more than a couple of months I run a piece of sellotape along the edge before punching the holes in the card - makes it much stronger

    btw - 400x505...omg that's huge!

    Hi Emzy

I put it all onto a wee spreadsheet on the computer with boxes - then I laminate it - then punch the holes with a single puncher. Find this is the best method for a lot of threads.
