Morning all, can you believe it's May already!
No celebration for me on the April challenge - but I have done everything else I had to do by the end of April. I have no out of work commitments this month so am free to concentrate on the May challenge of finishing the calendar bears woop!
Have a good Bank Holiday weekend all xOU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -
Argh, can't believe I missed the party.
We were having a little party of our own for SIL 30th birthday. Gorgeous nephew was there but didn't dare risk a cuddle until I know what I have. Both Tonsilitis and Glandular Fever are spread by close contact so I had to keep myself to myself. Mum did a lovely dinner for her too, managed to eat it but was the most uncomfortable meal ever.
Sadly didn't manage to finish Toby's vest completely. The crosses are done, I've pulled out the waste canvas and I just need to do the backstitch. But mum and dad were too busy to play with Kezia whilst I did it so I never even got chance to pick it up before the birthday girl arrived and I would have had to have hidden it anyway. Hoping to visit next week if given the all clear by the doc so I'm aiming to do it over the weekend during naptime.
Going to have a very quiet and restful weekend, apart from having to find my car insurance and get some car tax. Got no idea what I've done with the insurance paperwork and it was only littlestars post about it being May already that reminded me.
Was back at doc's yesterday but she wasn't much help really. Given me antibiotics again just in case it is tonsilitus but doesn't think it is this time. If it gets any worse I'm to see the emergency doctor today or tomorrow.
Anyway, fingers crossed for some nice stitching time and some Sky+ clearing as it is getting alarmingly full at the moment.
Have a great day everyone

Great party - as I said before we need to get a chat room one night and really have a blast.:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
Had an eventful night at A & E with ds last night so missed the party and the chance to finish the fairy stitching. He seems none the worse for his ordeal but got to keep a close eye on him. Dd has a 4 hour birthday party to go to today so going to see if I can get some stitching time in then - he might fall asleep since he got to bed so late last night (fingers crossed) then more stitching time for me:TMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Hello ladies, ooh there is some lovely sewing going on out there:T:T
Ruthhoney -thank you for that link - yes they look like the sort of thing I like, I read that you and Dorastar have used their designs - are you able to get them from UK suppliers or just America??
Emzy -that 3d house looks gorgeous x
maamh- I have that 'sprinkle' design as a ufo - I was wanting to do it for the bathroom, but we have decorated a couple of times since I bought it (prob about 10 years - cough!) - it will prob stay a ufo now 'cos it wont go with our decor:rotfl:.
thanks also for the info on the £5 magazine offer - never dared order on that before as worried you get tied in, but sounds quite a good offer.0 -
