So many posts!!! :rotfl: Trying to keep up, but sorry if I miss anything.
Sew Discounted had some kits at a very good price. There was a cute car one for just £1. Not sure on the P+P prices for that site, though.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Been paid £12 for 3 surveys from pinecone but not sure I should spend it on something that is a luxury when Im really struggling financially.
Awww Bubbles I'm with you on this one. I love the Christmas cottages I want to do one for me AND one for my Mum now. I'm trying to think of things we can do without next month to justify the spend :rotfl:
I saw Avatar at the pictures (hubbys choice!). The film was stunning to watch, the colours were amazing . . . but without spoiling anything it was a bit of a boring storyline (sorry!). Worth a watch though, I'm glad I saw it.
Speaking of films, DS came home from school today with a prize for 100% attendance! He's won a trip to the pictures for 4 people. How cool is that. I don't remember my school ever giving prizes out!:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:0 -
Yeah so many of them are gorgeous simac. I wonder if its possible to get the materials cheaply to make again once you have bought the pattern. If so maybe we could do a group purchase!!
I have heard a few people say the story on avatar is weak so it had to be seen at the cinema.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

Bubbles Can you think of it as £12 you didn't know you'd get so its a kind of 'win' therefore you haven't taken it into account in budgeting for usual stuff so its 'extra' money you can treat yourself with?? That and its therapy too xxx And it is a very lovely box, there are so many things I want to buy and make on there, but Im holding myself back because if I find I struggle with one then ive wasted money on the rest, to be honest I think the hardest part will be making sure I cut it out properly! and Ruth im just going to have a nosey on those sites now
Does anyone know with the £5 for 5 magazines thing are you tied in for 12 months? And when do you cancel the direct debit?0 -

You'd think given how long it took to write it, James Cameron could've made a good story! Not that I've seen it, so I can't really judge it...
I think with 3D kits it is useful to know exactly how to make them up. I've never made one, but I would guess it's quite a precise thing. They look very effective! The box is cute.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

No, you're not tied in. I cancel after the first payment has been taken. Just check your bank account regulary and when the amount shows up, just cancel the DD. I've never bothered writing to the magazine or anything. The joys of internet banking...:)Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Ive decided and I deffo cant justify it but when Im well enough to work Im going to buy it before anything else! Some of the cards are nice there too but too expensive for a card.
Im currently doing the 5 for £5 and have cancelled the direct debits after the first issue and had no problems.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

Evening folks,
I'm late for the party as well - big Zen hugs to everyone who needs one, and if you don't 'need' one, just grab one anyway
I think that we've all done really well this month, whether or not we completed our challenge. As other people have said before, it is so nice and supportive on this thread. I think that we all deserve a big clap! :T
Bubbles - I don't know whether you spotted my earlier post. My May challenge will be to make visible progress on the zebra, with the aim of finishing it by the end of August. If you can add me to the list for May, I would be very grateful.
I'm having a break from stitching tonight and have been working on my other hobby, family history. Stitching will be back on the menu tomorrow or Sunday, depending on all the little chores that build up when you are at work all week.
Anyway, party on!!

Cheers guys you have put me off it now :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Tbh I wasn't all that fussed about seeing it, but hubby and eldest DS were keen so I'm not bothered either way. If it's rubbish I can stitch away happily and check here intermittently
Simac - well done to your DS:T The only time I ever remember someoene getting a prize for attendance at school was one girl who had never missed a day from primary one through to primary 7...think she got a book token or something on her last day lol:rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
