An update on Newton's Law bookmark for you:

    It's UFO status:

    After todays stitching on it:
    29311_385298146970_582306970_4367765_5426228_n.jpg

It's not too bad really, I just need to relax a bit about where the lines go, I should really use a sharper needle, but I don't have one to hand. So will muddle on a I can. Shouldn't take too long this one. I'm away for the weekend tomorrow afternoon so not sure on much stitching time, but I'll take it with me, cos you never know.

Hope you all have a good weekend and hugs to all of you that are trying to finish your challenges. Here's to a productive May!

I am off work now till the 10th but we are going away for a few days - need it - I hope to take a small stitch with me, tho I am driving.
Sorry to hear about your concerns after Jury service Ruth, I am excused from it as I work in a "high security place" - one with bars on the windows.
MrsMac get your butt in gear and start stitching again :)
    Welcome newbies.
Glad everyone liked my wee funny - felt we needed a wee bit of a laugh.
Crafty - I use the bobbins for small bits of thread and the skeins in something like this ....
    nd82_new.jpg
Though mine is a bit smaller that. It is usually used to store nuts, bolts, screws, etc.
Louise love you finished work - purple is my favourite colour - you must be a speed stitcher. You should do something with your work you still have to frame - don't know what.
Bubbles great to have you back and showing off your work - you have some beautiful pieces there.
Right I am off, make hubby his dinner, take him to work, come home and have a large vodka - to start of my holiday :j
    Kind wishes to all
    sweetcarer ;)

Sweetcarer thank you for the idea i never thought of using one of those i have some downstairs with eyelets in for my cardmaking.

Ruth Honey . Your jury service sounds scary glad it's finished for you now.

 Sweetcarer, I'm a diabetic too. Pain in the bum isn't it! I found out age 16 so I'm kind of used to it now and can sneak in the odd treat here and there. I share your frustration, it's jolly annoying when you've hidden a treat to find out that someone has snaffled it. Bet they didn't even enjoy it either. Chocolate tastes so much better to me now it's a banned substance :rotfl:

OOOhhh i'm a diabetic friday night choccy eater too. :rotfl:

Louise that bookmark looks fab .

I've finally finished my april challenge . Just in time too. Sorry i missed the party i was stitching. It just needs a good wash and iron now. picsnufo009.jpg

Doesnt look like anyone is on for the party, never mind. anyway when we started the challenges we were supposed to vote on a winner but everyone has done so well it would be impossible to chose a winner.

Here is the list of Aprils challenges and everyone who completed theirs (as far as I know) has got a party but I think everyone deserves a pat on their back, not just because of how we have done with our individual challanges but because of the support and encouragement we have all gave each other. We are all winners and long may the challenges continue!

Awww Bubbles what a lovely post - it really sums up this thread.:T

Well I'm partying - got a glass of tonic water in my hand, can't have the gin to go with it because of my meds :(

Have a lovely long weekend everyone

Glad to see the wonderful work everyone has been doing. Love the 3D website...far too many ideas (and ways of spending more money!!!!

Oops, I missed the party...and failed in my April challenge :(

Mind you, I did do some stitching, though hardly any on my Astronomer.

Here is where I was on 12th April,
and here is where I am today:

    DSCF0079%281%29.JPG DSCF0091.JPG

...not much progress I agree, but, I also made these in the last week, despite my crushed toe! :D

    DSCF0085.JPG a 50th birthday pressie

    DSCF0087.JPG
    DSCF0088.JPG

    - both 90th Birthday presents

So I didn't abandon my sewing completely!!

Right Bubbles, my challenge for May is the same as my April one...to complete the first page and get at least half way through a second one! :D I will also be working on the Fairytale Alphabet for the charity quilt ...busy busy busy!

Off to bed soon, working tomorrow...only 9-1, but the first after crushing my toe. Wore shoes for the first time today, a bit painful, but much better than I dared hope.

    Enjoy this extended weekend everyone.

PS Glad to see you back Bubbles
