My cross-stitch has been reset to a new position ready for me to begin the bees and clouds.

I'm off to visit mum this weekend, so I'm hoping for good weather tomorrow so that I can work on her garden and good weather for Sunday so that I can relax in the garden with my stitching.

    Everyone's doing brilliantly. :T

You're very welcome. I'm much the same - I've spent far too long on ebay and sewing shops buying charts and kits while I'm at work!!

But I have a whole day to myself tomorrow and I'm up-to-date with the housework so I plan a feet up sewing day.

  • Well done Bubbles that's a big step :T . *Hugs* to everyone who needs them and isn't feeling their best right now.

Heres where i was 3 days ago tumblr_l0fg7bFB2N1qaf2sl.jpg

And how it is now- finished minus the framing/ washing ironing

    tumblr_l0m0ehsdzF1qaf2sl.jpg

So now Im going to start on my UFO that i stopped dong before christmas. Here's how it look's so far
    tumblr_l0m209kI0P1qaf2sl.jpg

And here's a picture with it held up to the light so you can see the bits not finished- as its one of those stoopid painted canvas thingys.

    tumblr_l0m2cnel1T1qaf2sl.jpg

The canvas is sort of plasticy and now the whole thing has a fold in it from being stored in a a4 polly pocket, any one got any ideas how I can get this out?

Will I be able to wash this thing- its by Bothy Threads. I'm unsure if the wool and canvas will hand wash, especially with out running as theirs some strong and some pale colours in there.

I'd also prefer to do the chat has a proper cross stitch in the future, but I have no idea how to convert the wool shades in to cross stitch shades.

Also ladies i forgot to say in my last post I was looking around dmc's site and they have free cross stitch charts each week, and if you register (for free) you can view all the previous ones, there's some really nice (and not so nice) charts on there, and quite a few, well worth signing up.

Thanks for the tip spottybutterfly. I've just joined the dmc website and some of the free charts are great. I like the Xmas stocking, might have to download that one.
:xmastree:What a splendid idea, this Christmas sounds fun. I fully endorse it, let's try it at once!:xmastree:

Am back in the land of the living (I think!) Had a nice day with my olds and am feeling a bit better but still not 100%, still tired and bit lurgied, but might be whatever it was that made ds barf his way through Easter. Am not looking forward to going back to work either so could be 'stress' although it's never as bad as I think

hi again everyone. Well I will be posting the challange list up again on sunday and it will be interesting to note everyones progress. I am hoping to get stitching done tonight after not doing much for a couple of days. I persuaded my brother and sister in law to go to Hobby craft on their way to Newcastle today and get me the thread I needed, as I only needed that colour to finish half of the pattern so will be stitching tonight. He also got me a needle threader as a gift, I have used the little metal ones before but this is blue plastic and does 3 different kinds of threads, I had never seen this before but as I only do cross stitch I expect it is just an expensive version of the little silver ones! I have pretty much always been able to thread needles by myself, I have pretty good eyesight.

The back of my work is the neatest I have ever done so I might take a photo of that to show you all too, I have never bothered with how the back of my work looks before but since I saw someone post an ark on here and the back was immaculate I have started paying more care to it.

Anyway thats me for today, happy stitching everyone, no doubt I will be up until the early hours again! Could do with one of those day lamps which was discussed so starting saving now!
