Maria That bra design looks great fun, looks great so far too.
Also laughing at *Louise*'s comment on the 90p I must admit I havent been in there for a couple of years because its so expensive
Bubbles not sure the reasons behind you not being out for a while but I suffer from depression and haven't been out for months either, I must admit ive missed a couple of dr's appointments too because I just haven't been able to bring myself to even get dressed let alone see himAnyway enough of me soundind silly I just wanted to say that whatever the reason i can understand that it must have felt weird going out for the first time in a while and well done for doing it :j

Do any of you ladies know the cheapest place for the Dictionary Of ..... cross stiches? It's a shame they're not available as charts only as I'd rather do them on evenweave.
I havent done any stitching this week, been crocheting instead, its become rather addictive.Bubbles911 wrote: »I took my mum to hobbycrafts today, first time I have gone anywhere other than appointments with docs etc since September so felt odd anyway but it was so depressing as I couldnt afford anything! My mum needed some knitting needles to make me some socks and I fell in love with DMC light threads, I have never seen them before and they are gorgeous! In the end my mum got some cellophane for hampers, her knitting needles and some stickers ad stuff for card marking and I came out with a pebble of needles as it was all I could afford and I constantly lose my needles!
We (me and mum) only use hobby craft to buy stuff when its reduced (but its always a nice hour or so to look around even if i get nothing- pah who am i kidding i always come out with something-). Same goes for Dainty Supplies (great for a look at but always expensive), i think Dainty's only have one store but if your in/ near the Tyne and Wear area its the place you can get anything crafty, from fabric, wool, ribbon, stuff for weddings, party stuff, card making stuff, scrap booking stuff, cross stitch kits, dmc threads, aida fabric etc.
I found the department store Fenwicks reasonable for needles. But the best place for needles is the wool shop/ haberdashery in the Granger Market in Newcastle (they also do phone orders). I often go there- despite all the butcher stalls turning my stomach with the smell.
I overall prefer the internet or using the Craft Fair's that come to the area (although the tickets for those are getting stupidly expensive when a round trip there and backon public transport is £5). The internet seems to be the cheapest option for most things unless they're needed in a hurry.0 -

I totally agree. When I started santa I really wanted to do the dictionary of Robins but the kit was quite expensive and I really prefer Evenweve rather than Aida. I couldn't find the kit with evenweve instead so I just ended up choosing a different design.0 -
Wow Louise your a pro in getting on with your cross stitches, what pretty colours.
I agree that Hobbycraft is expensive dont know why as they can buy in bulk. I only went once and was shocked at the prices and didnt buy anything which was a miracle for me!
Maria&theimps that looks a fun design to stitch and as its in different blocks will keep your interest.0
