Can I ask - where did you find such a large piece of 'Magic Aida'? Whenever I have seen it it has only been sold in much smaller (prepackaged) pieces.

If you do find the chart at your Mum's, I've got loads of DMC threads so if you let me have the thread no's I could sort them out for Bubbles. (I buy my DMC in Florida for 35 cents (20 pence) so i duplicate most of them and then wind them onto those bobbins - love that job it's so therapeutic!!))

Wow Erics mum I cant believe how generous everyone on here is. That would be amazing if you could do that. I took my mum to hobbycrafts today, first time I have gone anywhere other than appointments with docs etc since September so felt odd anyway but it was so depressing as I couldnt afford anything! My mum needed some knitting needles to make me some socks and I fell in love with DMC light threads, I have never seen them before and they are gorgeous! In the end my mum got some cellophane for hampers, her knitting needles and some stickers ad stuff for card marking and I came out with a pebble of needles as it was all I could afford and I constantly lose my needles!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member No 2 :j

Bubbles, Hobbycraft is rather expensive for almost all stitchy stuff. I get a few things from ebay - last time I got needles I got them from a seller called Katzxstitch, and my most recent threads were from a seller called Westbbc. I'd reccomend both sellers as I've received my items quickly and without hassle.
I don't have a local stitchy shop but on the occasion that I've found them while on holiday they seem better than hobbycraft (which is the closest I have to a stitchy shop locally)0 -
I agree that Hobbycraft is SO expensive.
I nearly fainted when I bought a skein of DMC thread and it was 90p! I only ever buy stitchy stuff from there in an emergency.Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219.
