I love these designs but I've never tried them as I always thought they were expensive but this one is a bargain - I am sooooo tempted. I have one cross-stitch going on in the living room, one in the bedroom so I could have this one for lunchtime at work I suppose! Just realised that there were loads on that page - I'm talking about the first one "Friendly talks"

I use a frame that is similar - I attach it with tape (not pins now found that out to my cost).
The 21x12 would be ok - attach your 20-1/8 side on the 21 edge use the roll for the 16 side.
Try the "in the well" method like I use and it helps keep you design clean.
